Even I, who struggle with enjoying live versions in general compared to studio recordings (especially if I learnt to love the music from the studio recordings), find this version to be much more than just acceptable. All the good parts are highlighted and extended to give the audience more of what we want. It is a real treat to listen to this version when you know the original full well.
Absolutely stellar, bands don't come any tighter, and music never more moving than this! Stuart was, never given the accolades he was due. RIP , you are sorely missed.
Day after day, year after year, I come back to this, such an incredible song, living in Dunfermline, and being brought up with BC, this resolutes so much with me, love it, I was fortunate enough to see Stuart and the boys live many times, just an absolute privilege. Stay Alive.
this is without doubt the best vid out there of this song - what a voice, and there is no flaw in his voice singing live.............. absolute gem of a video to always treasure in watching Stuey Adamson do what he did best...
got to see BC twice....once in the UK at the Cambridge corn exchange with Stu...the alarm opened up....ironically the 2nd time was with Mike Peter's as singer...my favorite ever live performance....besides seeing Bowie my favorite live band
saw them on crossing and steeltown anniversary tours.. big tony (who i met in 94 and we had nice chat and beers) thenGlasgow with ex simpleinds bass player
Von denen die da als Publikum stehen, haben vor dem Konzert noch nicht mal gewusst wer Big Country ist! 😁 Of those who are there as an audience, they didn’t even know who Big Country is before the concert!😁
