My name is Ron King, and I work as a handyman. I make DIY home improvement how-to videos to help individuals of all ability levels fix their homes on their own. I have several years of professional experience in the construction industry, and I majored in construction technology in college. I want to empower DIYers by sharing my knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, tiling, bathroom and kitchen remodeling, landscaping, and more.
Learn fundamental construction skills such as reading a tape measure, building stairs, and so much more.
I also record tool reviews for brands such as Ryobi, DeWalt, Milwaukee, Craftsman, and more.
These tools are a game-changer! Have you tried using the Magnesium Hand Float and Finishing Trowel for intricate designs? They bring such a professional touch to DIY projects!
I haven’t tried the on projects like you are suggesting but I love watching guys work with concrete like that. I may need to schedule another project. Thanks for watching and sharing.
@@UltimateDiyer I wanted to power wash a deck … prep it to paint. I struggling getting motivated today … it’s so cold. Anyway I’m going to watch the later part of the video to get directions. Wow this stuff is so challenging for me!
thank for sharing! before you decide to replace it, try this first! take off the canister float valve and look at rubber washer that slides into a groove on the bottom of the cannister float valve. pop that washer off and put it back on the other side up, then slide the cannister float valve back into place. this often solves the problem!
I have a problem with the same unit, only it’s the top yellow disc itself that keeps popping out. I have tried pushing it back into the tube but it will pop back out after a couple flush’s. Any suggestions? Btw the disk does not appear to be broken
I’ve seen that happen as well as the stem breaking off. I would replace the unit. The yellow dish twists on and off but may be broken if it will not stay, a new one is under $9 amzn.to/3A07XQs Hope this helps
@@UltimateDiyer thank you so much! The disc does not appear broken as the bottom half is intact with 2 “half moon” indents, it looks to me like it pressed in and wore out? I’m gonna try some pipe tape and see if it holds. Thank you for the link
Ron, this series is incredible! I’m excited to see the waterproof epoxy grout in action-how do you ensure perfect application with it? The tile leveling system looks impressive too. Keep up the great work! 🌟🛠
The trick to waterproof grout is speed of application and having clean tile to start with. Both factors are crucial to success. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Ahhhhhh … I wish I’d thought to look here BEFORE I “repaired” my toilet! However, I’m glad I found you before I repair it for the third time!!! I used “regular” replacement parts from Home Depot … and it still doesn’t work!! Sooo frustrating, especially when I’ve repaired at least three dozen toilets with no problem! What a pain, but thanks to you, I’m going to order the right thing … and likely replace more than I needed to! THANK YOU!
Sorry, but I couldn't help but laugh watching you slowly sliding down roof out of camera view. Very informative video, even though I don't have a metal roof.
Thanks so much for doing this video. Great step by step assembly instructions. Much needed because instructions/manual were terrible. You saved me hours of frustration. Demo and tips were also very helpful.
thank you for the installation video. i just purchased this pressure washer and the included instructions were not as easy as your video was to learn how to put this together!! Appreciated the tutorial from out of the box to completion.
That is fantastic. I almost didn’t make the video on the mailbox, but I figured there were some people out there that were going to have the same issue as yourself. Thank you for watching and thank you for the awesome comment.
You are absolutely right, and in most cases, I am. I got in a hurry and skipped that step, but I will say I had just cleaned the plywood not long before the placement of the pan so the wood fibers were still a bit moist. But I should have sponged it again. Sometimes, trying to get the camera just right, and make sure I cover everything, it's easy to skip something. I'm still learning how to use RU-vid. Thank you for watching and commenting.
I like to see how this comes out. I hope it is good and works for you. I am taking a different route for what I am calling an Editing / Streaming theme build. Since I plan to sell this PC at coast I have to put a lot of ARGB in it. I need to know if my approach of using cheaper and more hardware approach will work better at the editing and streaming task. I am using a Intel gen 12 I7k CPU and a Arc A770 16gb card. I may switch or at least test this with a RTX 3070 and a Arc A380 just to see if that works better. I will keep the best setup.
That sounds very interesting l, I would like to see what works best for you as well. I should be putting everything together soon and I will make a video showing the process and results. Thank you for watching and commenting.
It’s the camera it’s been causing me issues. We have a new camcorder ordered. We’re just waiting on it to be delivered. Thank you for watching and thank you for letting me know.
I just listened from my cell phone and it sounds good on this end. Maybe it was a bad connection or the music messing it up on your end. But I will watch closely on the next videos, we have had a couple that the audio was not 100%, thanks again.
@@UltimateDiyer yea no problem im trying to do youtube stuff as well so i was just wanting to let you know i know how it is if you have bad audio ive had to scrap good videos cause of to much wind or just bad audio
Good stuff! Classic example of companies becoming verbs. Kind of like saying "Google it" for searches or "photoshop" for picture edits. It can be great for a company because of brand recognition, but when a brand becomes so common, it can actually face a process called genericide, where a trademark is no longer enforceable. Some good examples I found are "Bikini," and "Escalator," which were all once brand names lol
Very well said and I agree. So many companies become well known because they were the first. So many times we don’t even realize it. Like the crescent wrench or channel locks and many others. The bikini and escalator are very interesting. I think I’ve heard that about the bikini before. Thank you for watching and commenting!
"Wow, Ron! Your monster editing rig setup is truly impressive. I'm curious, how did you decide on these specific components? Your insights on cooling and power supply sizing are spot-on for optimizing performance. Can't wait to see the results of this build!"
I spent a lot of time researching the the various components and what components make a great editing machine. And ironically, a lot of the same components they make a great gaming machine also work well in the content, creation world. I can’t wait to have it up and running as well. Thank you for watching and thank you for coming.
I’m glad you liked it. I hope it helped. I will be adding an in wall controller to that ceiling fan in the next few days. Thank you for watching and thank you for commenting.
You’re very welcome. I am really enjoying this power washer. I have a DeWalt 4000 psi and a couple Of other smaller ones. I also did a review on your washer for Amazon a few days ago. I would love to review more of your power washers if you want to send one out. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Possibly and possibly the handle is bent and out of alignment. Every once in a while I change the entire handle assembly if it seems to be sticking. You can slowly push the handle and see if you find the sticking spot. If that doesn’t solve the problem, then I would look closely at the seal or maybe even the entire flush assembly.
Awesome, my bearded brother! I have had a beard most of my life, and I’ll be 60 this December. I’m not sure what I look like without it, could be scary! Thanks for watching and commenting.
I did this replacement a few months ago when the old one broke at the bottom nub. Recently, I've found that there's a tiny trickle of water into the bowl after the tank is full. I pulled the flush canister and checked the gasket. It still seems to be in good shape, soft, and mating surfaces were clean. Is it possible the fill valve is not closing all the way and needs to be replaced?
"Wow, this review is exactly what I needed! Curious about how it handles tough grime on house siding. Anyone else thinking this might be the perfect addition to their DIY toolkit? 🚀"
I have been using it mainly on our cars but as of yesterday we cleaned concrete with it. I will suggest if you’re going to clean concrete to get the concrete cleaner tool addition I think it will work better as far as siding if you use soap with the unit I think it would be very helpful. I think it’s strong enough for siding to clean it without destroying it.Thank you for watching and commenting.
Aw man I needed a video on how to replace the bottom part that you said stays. The locking mechanism broke on mine so the canister keeps popping out every time I flush.
Well looks like I need to make that video next. It’s not too hard to replace that part. But you will end up removing the tank as I’m sure you have figured out. Just take your time, it’s really self explanatory, just make sure you buy the complete assembly.
I’m here for the Internet to tell you you’re wrong. slip joint pliers only slip in between the two positions. Those are called channel lock pliers because of the channel and groove system they employ to change sizes. They are still a channel lock, even if the brand isn’t channel. They were just the first one to patent it.
The R10000 comes with 2 pex-a barbs on the sides but not on the top so you're still going to need a pex-a fitting. I don't know why Delta didn't just put all 3 pex-a barbs.
That’s true, I have put in a lot of the valves and some have a 3rd, sometimes not like you mentioned. Bathtubs you always want copper so it doesn’t send water to the shower. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Excellent, video. Very interesting showing the leveling issues and using the alternative seal type. I actually didn't mind the music you chose. Thanks!
Nice unit. I'm researching ELECTRIC POWER WASHERS for my friend from high school who is exactly like "SHELDON" on THE BIG BANG THEORY. We are both in our 70s now. But he OVER THINKS EVERYTHING. to the ATOMIC LEVEL. But ONE THING I HAVE TO SAY. "NEVER USE AN ELECTRIC SCREWDRIVER TO PUT SCREWS INTO PLASTIC!!!" 9 TIMES OUT OF 10 YOU WULL STRIP THE HOLE EVERY TIME. When I was a Teenager I assembled PLASTIC STUFF with an Electric Screwdriver and ENDED UP GETTING METAL NUTS, WASHERS & BOLTS to finish putting the stuff together. YOU ARE A PROFESSIONAL CRAFTSMAN WHO CAN SENSE HOW TIGHT TO SCREW TOGETHER INTO PLASTIC BECAUSE OF YOUR EXPERIENCE. MOST PEOPLE DON'T USE TOOLS THAT OFTEN SO THEY WILL STRIP OUT THE HOLE. It does take LONGER to screw it together MANUALLY but it will save them trips to the HARDWARE STORE to get the Right Sized Screws etc. If they SREWUP. PUN INTENDED. Have HAPPY, FUNNY DAY. Eddy Bristol Connecticut
You’re correct if you don’t know how to use the screw gun it is easy to strip out plastic. Thank you for watching and thank you for the comment. Also look for my other videos. I have another one coming out Tuesday at 2 on the Westinghouse power washer. It will be my second video on that unit. It’s a great little power washer at about the same price point. I
You did a review on a PowerRyte power washer a little while ago, I have the same one but my hose for the power washer is busted, I’ve checked multiple store(Home Depot, Lowe’s, ace, online, and pressure washing places) and none sell the right size quick attachment. I was wondering if you had some idea on where I can get one. Either the quick attachment to plug in to the power washer or just a whole new hose in general. Thank you 🙏🙏
Thank you so much. I could not figure out where those last two brackets went. You saved me. I would have never found that. And got a great demo as well. On a side note I'm not a fan of new cars. They all seem to look alike. Except that one. Who knew a Chevy Camero would hold it's looks over the decades. That car is slick. My granddaughter wants one. Her granny may want one too.
Good presentation. The Kohler valves are a BAD design...if you don't hold the handle down for 5 seconds, you don't get a full flush. Worse, you don't get a full bowl fill, and you may have solid waste sitting on dry land, getting stuck and smelling bad.
