🪔 Welcome to my little corner where I share videos about my life as a homemaker. I love 📚 reading, ☕ drinking tea, 🍰 eating sweets, and 👨👩👧👦 spending time with my family. If you enjoy relaxing videos about everyday life, then I hope you can join me on a journey of discovering what makes life special.
Quick snippet about me: I went to college to teach middle and high school English. After teaching for a year and a half, I chose to stay home and care for my newborn baby boy. Now, over 3 years later, we have a sweet, smiling baby girl who loves watching her big brother run and play. I don't use their real names on social media so I nicknamed them Kai (my son) and Raya (my daughter).
Thank you for being here and for watching my videos!
I don't like cucumbers either lol. When it comes to healthy things that I don't like, I try to avoid eating it by itself. For example, I put nuts (which I do really like) on ice cream or I put it in a food processor with other ingredients to make a thick walnut butter spread to put on top of pancakes. One time I ended up making chocolate beet cake (which tasted great ) to get rid of extra beets lol.As for the cucumbers...smoothie is a good way to go. You can add pineapple, Bananas, strawberries ,apple juice to disguise the taste. I do this for my child and myself since cucumber is good for bone health. It's loaded with vitamin K. Vitamin K helps with calcium absorbtion. Hope this helps.
Thank you for the suggestions! I should try that smoothie, it sounds good. My children like smoothies. I've heard of it but never tried a beet chocolate cake. 🌻
I used to get so caught up in teacher mode, that some aspects of homemaking was neglected. Sometimes I would have a partial school day, where some of the subjects are taught, to make time for homemaking tasks. Also, I may cook (especially dinner) for more than one day...that really comes in handy and helps me with accomplishing more the next day. I am working on having my little one involved in age appropriate tasks (besides putting away toys). 😂
I really liked your video overall! I like how you did the captions to explain your process of cleaning the kitchen. One thing I would like to add as a tip is when sanitizing your kitchen counter, I would either not use disinfecting disposable wipes because they contain unhealthy chemicals and they remain there where you are prepping food. Or you could wipe counters again to try to remove the residue of the wipies with cleaning rag and water or cleaning rag and vinegar. Not sure if this will be helpful tip for someone.
Yes, Stone Mountain Park was wonderful!! Travel tip: Make sure to take toddler to the bathroom for numbers 1 and 2 right before leaving the house. This is likely to reduce the need to pull over on the journey (especially if you are the only adult on the trip ).
Thank you so much, I always look forward to yours too!! 🌺 My husband kept eating it, he won't eat something more than twice if it's not really good, lol.
Hello! I've accidentally found your videos tonight and I feel so grateful! Very inspiring! I think organising your tasks is a key and feeling thankful for what you have is a bless! Thank you, dear! Greetings from Athens, Greece🎉❤
Thank you for sharing your travels. A change of pace and scenery is wonderful. It is a blessing to share a meal and spend time with family. These moments make memories that are especially important for kids.
Hi from Montréal! I am almost done with my own spring cleaning! So much work but it feels so great having a clean home! Thank you! You are helping me with the last steps!
I like disinfecting the matress, cushions and unwashable items with my steamer😊 I was really blown away when I saw you use the microfiber mop to clean the bathroom walls. I thought Whatt?!! Thats a great idea, I never thought about that. I enjoy my microfiber mop even more...so versatile. Thanks Taheryah😊
I really need to do a deep cleaning of my walls. And I love making homemade lemonade in the spring. I do a honey lemonade. It’s so good. My daughter loves it.
I love this. Especially the part about making homemaking more enjoyable. I love doing things to make homemaking and the environment fun and ejoyable. Enjoyed this video.
It's so important to cherish your daily life! That makes up most of our days, so it's necessary to feel comfortable being with oneself and to care for one's own good (and for your loved ones, too!). Very nice vlog, I'd love to see more of the positive selfcare!
I love it when you said, "...and my soul is quieted." Isn't that what it's all about? I love that. You also used the word 'crippling' and that completely describes how things have been for me. I literally couldn't bring myself to clean my house and that was quickly followed by (also crippling) guilt because I eventually had to hire someone to do it. I feel like I'm showing a kids a bad example by not being able to clean the whole house like I used to. You made many valid points and I appreciate this video. Thank you so much for sharing. You are very relaxing to watch. I'm not even done; only halfway through, but had to pause to start typing my comment as the thoughts came. I will work on contentment and resetting my expectations + enjoying the privilege and blessing of actually having a BEAUTIFUL home to maintain and a family to care for. Cherish the moments! Thank you, again.
I'm glad that you enjoyed my video! I believe balancing everything takes much time and skill to learn. Even when you are overwhelmed, your perseverance can teach your children not to give up when things are just too much. It's a good life skill for them to learn. 🌻
Just the video I need at the moment. Thowdah again Achowth for sharing these tips. One thing I would like to add, is us as homemakers need to remember that homemaking is actually a ministry. At times we tend to think that ministry is only going on the streets and in assemblies preaching and teaching people. Ministry is an act of service...service to our husbands, children and those who are physically invited into our home. To answer your question, I would like to start having Science and Arts and Crafts as apart of my homeschooling, particularly for the summer. The science could be more nature centered and outdoors such as gardening, melting ice in the sun, studying animals and plants, observing the stars, etc.
Yes I completely agree! Science, arts and crafts sound fun to add to homeschooling. So far, I've been focusing on the basics and adding reading and writing. ✏️
I understand the feeling! The best thing is I to try to do things one at a time based on what's most important. Even when it feels like time is low, there's still time.
This is a nice video. It is so nice that you teaching your child at an early age to clean up. Love to see this. I have seen other videos where the Mom let the kids do whatever they want. I enjoyed your video.❤❤
Thank you so much for your kind words! Yes, I like to involve my son in cleaning. In addition to picking up toys, he especially loves to help with sweeping the floor. 🌻
