So... - The Bears on Offense fumble the ball behind the LoS - 97 for the Packers picks it up past the LoS - The Packers now have possession - The Packers incur a penalty here - 97 runs backwards and fumbles the ball - 70 for the Bears grabs the ball in mid-air - The Bears now have possession at the GB 11 - The Penalty is an "Illegal Forward Pass" charged to 97 with the claim that GB was the Offense. - 0:20 - "Illegal Forward Pass, Offense" - I have no idea how this is an Illegal Forward Pass - This gives the Bears the option to accept or decline from the 11. The ball is technically on GB's side of the field. - Accept: 3rd & 80 from Own 6 - This should actually be 1st & Goal from Opp 6. My guess is that the game didn't fully understand who had the ball at the end of the play, especially given the penalty announcement. - Decline: 1st & 10 on Opp 11 - Strictly speaking, this is the better option in every way. Why the Computer selected the above option is confusing, though it might have been under the impression that the Own 6 was Opp 6, like it should have been. That or this would have given the ball to the Packers on their 11 with a 1st & 10, as if the second fumble had not occurred outside of losing an additional yard. - The yards are correct, as an accept moves the ball five yards and a decline leaves it at the 11. The problem seems to be which side of the field to enforce, when seems to be because of the game not fully comprehending that the Bears were the offense.
That was the craziest thing I think I have ever seen! The other team got illegal forward pass and it bumped the bears back like 70 yards. What even happened?
Honestly, a glitch this bad? If he didn't score I'd just punt him 1 for free. Madden has its issues and I don't wanna hear THAT be the sole excuse for a loss.
