The only inaccuracy here is that the Soviets did not invade the Empire of Japan. Stalin had planned too and had prepared for a full force evasion but after the battle of Okinawa and the Battle of Iwo Jima, it was clear that the Empire of Japan would ONLY surrender unconditionally. That is when Truman gave order to drop the bombs, Fat Man, and Little Boy on the the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The Soviets knew that a full scale invasion would be extremely difficult that is why they held off, hell we had lost hundreds of THOUSANDS of men at the battle of Okinawa and Iwo Jima. Instead what I think the video meant to say is that after Nazi Germany surrendered unconditionally, the Soviets then invaded Manchuria and Eastern China, which was under control from the Japanese Empire.

Maybe. I mean lend lease was a HUGE part of being able to keep the British Empire and the USSR in the war. But after the Battle of Britain, Congress had given Roosevelt permission to grant Lend Lease aid in 1940 BEFORE we had entered the war. By themselves? The USSR and the British Empire could not defeat Nazi Germany, although even with just lend lease aid, I think the Soviets and the British could defeat the Nazis. Then the Soviets would either go after the empire of Japan alone, but I also don’t think that’s very likely, as we would have been forced to eventually get involved as the Dutch East Indies and the Philippines had the oil Japan needed but they would have had to attack us either way to make sure we couldn’t retaliate for a while, or they would get to aggressive and we would be forced to join. I personally just don’t see a universe where the United States isn’t involved in the war. Hitlers biggest mistake was launching Operation Barbarossa, he just got to damn greedy.
