When I was in vietnam the girl I loved so and thought I would marry married a mother guy and when I got I was so along and could not get over that she didn't with for and I felt like a stranger looking in with no one cared and this music remind me of how I felt and to this day I cry for my lost and what I went through hoping she would be there for me the most lonely feeling in the world
I had decided to split with my ex when I heard this at the end of the movie right around that time, it made me feel very sad because I was leaving and would be alone. But here I am over decade later, doing fine on my own. But hearing this does make me feel a little melancholy about starting off on my own. 😢
I lost my father when I was 24, life seemed all according to plan, and then he punched me in the face. it took time to understand. life has no human reasons, life has life itself as its reason, and everything is connected. I can't explain now in a few words, and some things actually can't even be explained with words, but only by living. I just have one last message for you who are reading now: live this life fully, we are here for a short time, love, smile, cry, live the moments until the last sip, there will be difficult moments, but life will give you one day experiences that you will remember forever, and if you share them, then love and joy will spread, like an echo into eternity. I love you brother/sister
pain of love, unrequited love, cuts so deep. I wish i had never loved at all. I don't want to hurt myself but I wish I couold go into a deep sleep and never wake up.
Some people don't get it maybe there not deep thinkers at one point or another in life we have something happen to us or family or friends even strangers if you have a heart, we can be on that island in our own minds grieving lost loved ones that we know we may never see again unless the bible teaching are right that movie touched me and this sound track brings tears to my eyes I've been on that island in my mind several times in my 62 years on this beautiful planet last year I was diagnosed with larynx cancer never had pain but my voice kept acting up talk about being on a island I have mom ,my siblings my wife and 5 grown children' but folks I was on that island in my mind tried not to go down a rabbit whole went to radiation treatment's everyday except weekends 28 of them second week in couldn't eat felt like a lump in my throat saliva sliding down my airway choking on an off all day could sip water lost 38lbs in 6 weeks I didn't get myself down god has my back as he did all my life last treatment was September 18 2023 throat feels goo they don't see cancer but I have to keep checking every for months for 5 years I would much rather be on an island physically then one in the mind ,bty when Wilson got away from him he he sobbed people in the theater laughed I wanted to cry that ball helped keep his sanity that's how I felt when his heart broke in two

This is for those of us who admire the great composers of many great films - films that have won Oscars for their soundtracks. I ran across another name today while listening to part of the soundtrack from “Castaway” starring Tom Hanks! How soon we forget at times the film itself but hearing a portion and many scenes from the film came flooding into my memory. I had forgotten about Alan Silvestri , the composer and when looking him up he has been responsible for many films along with others like John Barry, James HornerRachel Portman etc. Back to “Castaway”, who can forget Tom Hanks character crying when “Wilson” his soccer ball floated away! My ex never did understand why Tom was crying and why I was crying - he came from a stiff upper lip family was mainly why he didn’t cry! Anyway look on RU-vid ask for soundtrack from Castaway and see how it touches or doesn’t touch you! 😢
I used this piece of music in a feature documentary about my father, which I produced back when I was 51. My dad died when he was 51, and I took a road trip the year I turned 51 and talked to everybody still alive who knew him. I kept looking for the right piece of music to tie it all together, and this was it. Now it makes me think about my dad when I hear it.
They gave us everything, thanks to my father and mother I have been able to achieve what was a dream for them. My life wouldn't be better without them having existed. However, they are gone and now they are just a memory.
The crossroads he comes to at the end is really a beginning. Sad to leave behind your life , but be joyful to begin again. We don't all get that chance so if you do , remember this story , and take heart . There's always another story left in the book of life!
