man i really hope you guys bring this podcast back. i was so excited to see you all getting back together for this. brought me back so much nostalgia. FNL is one of my favorite shows of all time i used to watch every episode when it released every friday with my mom from when i was 7 years old to 12 years old. i'm 25 now so seeing this makes me really happy. hope yall can continue someday.

Yes, this is Awesome! 🙏🏼❤️😎 Definitely my favorite show of all time So well written, and acted, directed, real and raw I discovered it way way later than it actually came out, but it was not only very enjoyable and entertaining, but it honestly was a great comfort to me during a difficult period in my life, it honestly was. When Riggins goes down to the bar, I think he knows he's going to get beat up. In fact, I think that after taking the camera to Coach in his father's place, he goes to the bar not to have a fight, but he gives himself up to take the beating his father deserved in his place. I saw it almost as an atonement. Having a narcissistic father myself, I have felt that same desire to make up for my father's sins even though he didn't deserve it. 29:12
Just started watching this show and it’s honestly really great but really surprised by the talent in the show and how many turned out to have really great careers. I didn’t know Plemons was in the show. I knew Kyle Chandler was but didn’t know Plemons probably started his career with this show. Great heartfelt show that is a rarity nowadays for my opinion.
Matt and Julie were my faves in the show aside from Eric/Tami, loved their relationship together and how natural the chemistry was. they went through a lot and the periods were they were separated were painful but it made those moments of reunion all the more rewarding. s3 and first half of s4 especially were so good for their relationship especially after s2 breakup lol. and then getting that ending in s5. I think what makes their relationship stand out in the show is how realistic it felt in capturing young love, and how different Matt and Julie's family backgrounds are but they made it work. also I related to them the most as an artsy kid. I loved their shared interest in books/films/music which stood out in the little details of their conversations or dates they went on.
