This lady’s voice is so well articulated that it seems almost AI generated…do you agree? I bet she’s done numerous training videos and call center recorded voice lines by this point. I’m actually very impressed with her performance, even if she is reading from cue cards.
I still have some of my Radio Shack stuff too it's hard to let it go sometimes you can find a lot of it in thrift stores if you get lucky that day this was the worst thing Radio Shack leaving and Sears and Western Auto it will never be the same again these days are dead and gone but it was some of the best stuff rest in peace all these beautiful places of the past❤
These were the tapes in use when I began as a full timer in the 90's. Very effective training, and at the time RadioShack was not only a Fortune 500 company, but in the top Fortune 50. Their training programs were considered excellent. You can practically taste the effort going into it.
Customers want to trust the pimple faced 18 year old kid right outta highschool wearing a tie. Makes sense lol 😆 At 18, an expert already lol 😆 If they actually PAID a real wage, maybe they would of drawn adults to sell rather than kids
Radio Shack sing it 🎶, DM's promoting friends that's Radio Shack, that completely ruin million dollar stores that's Radio Shack, useless DM's that's Radio Shack. Corporate greed, that's Radio Shack, destroying our own Radio Shack . Getting frucked outta sales awards and then a store that's Radio Shack. Favoritism galore that's Radio Shack. The store that's NO MORE 😆 , that's Radio Shack 🎶 Sold my stock long before.. Fruck Radio Shack Sing it 🎤🤣
I was saving up for this computer in high school, wanting to upgrade from our Tandy 1000RL. The Sensation! became obsolete before I could save enough money. I ended up buying a Compaq Presario with over the double the power by waiting about 18 months. I spent a small fortune (all of my money) on computers back then as kid.
I don't know what these other commenters are smoking, but Radio Shack RC's were the best RC's you could get back then, short of dropping $400 at a hobby shop. Many of them are still running today. Some are highly sought after by collectors and can be worth some serious money if you have one in good condition.
Me: So can it run Doom? Bird: Why would you want to play Doom when you can have Compton's Multimedia Encyclopedia? Jokes aside I'm pretty sure someone got Doom to run on this and CDi, since Doom has been ported to every system and multiple kitchen appliances
Worked for Radio Shack in the 80s for 6 years and I never had any of these training videos (and to be honest, did not need them, use COMMON SENSE people!).
I love it. Notes: they probably shouldn’t have included “it takes all we’ve got and more / to show we’re more than just a store.” Makes it sound like they are trying really hard to show people that, and nobody believes them. Radio Shack, the modern Cassandra.😊
Most of the Realistic brand speakers in the 70's and 80's actually had a layer of real wood grain finnish on their cabinets when a lot of others didn't.

I bought a 3100 and then a 3200 a few months later and had to turn them into Sensations over the next few years. I still have them and they both work. They wouldn't even sell me the Sensation stuff to put on my machines. Well, I have it now. Mine are grandparents but they have and run the same Sensation stuff. One even has a modem that could do the answering machine on a land line.
Ads used to be so entertaining that people recorded them just so they could rewatch them, nowdays, ads are so insipid they make me want to obliterate my brain with an 11 gauge shotgun
I still have Radio Shack 65 in 1 Electronics kit too from 1970 - tons of good memories and experiments! The good 'ol days! Christmas gift from my father, an electronics engineer for USAF. 👍👍👍😁
I have this cassette player still in the box with all the hardware. This player has never been use.I do not have the instructions to it.I paid 8 dollars for it at a thrift store in Plano Texas. The player wàs still in the box.Still brand new.The harness ware still in the original plastic
Ahh...The year of 1987 was great along with the music as well, and this vintage Radio Shack TV ad. Now, TV ad's were alot better than what we have today in 2023.
Once upon a time, not so long ago and not so far away, RS owned the microcomputer industry with the TRS 80. No vision and lack of corporate resolve pushed them aside as the leader in the computer manufacturing and sales. I should know, while attending college I sold the TRS 80 computers and the commission cheques were fantastic. Corporate management sucked. I will stop here.
