is it alright to feed all the way till October. I'm in central Texas and my 2 Lanes are slow slow slow. The Halls are to the end of the wire while the Lanes are way behind. One is just now to the wire. Since I'm trying to get the to the end of the wire I was wonder if I could feed longer. thanks

I checked on their site but they did not have any 10 10 10 fertilizer, they had 12 10 10, what should I use, by muskidines is about 25 years old and we always just let it grow wild and feed the animals and now I want to harvest and the last two years we have not had any fruit.

I truly enjoy watching these instructional videos. I have chosen Ison's Nursey as my go to knowledge base. I have had Muscadine grapes for over 35 years. Our mother vines were over 2-3 inches thick, but over time our production came to only a few. I decided to tear out two vines and replace with new ones. This time I am applying everything Greg teaches. Several years ago, from only three vines I was able to pick over five 5-gallon buckets full of grapes over the season. I am encouraged to return to those days.

Only recently discovered muskidines growing in our front yard dog fence along with some kind of hedgerow trees. Looks like the muskidines are already established. Only noticed them because of the small berries. Hopefully, I can get the majority of the trees out so those can flurish. Unfortunately, it may be too last to spread them apart. I believe I have multiple plants in short length of fence.

What kind of pruning do you do during the summer past the first year? I would assume remove any suckers off the trunk, keep the main arms pruned so that they don't grow past the end of the trellis, but besides pruning any hanging vines from the main arms if they get close to touching the ground do you do any other summer pruning?

I apologize if I missed this in the video but when do you typically do the winter pruning?

From what I've seen, it is usually just before bud break, but I have heard some people do it immediately after the last grape is picked. Greg, my soil is 15% Dolomite. So I'm assuming that "Urea Sulfate" is the best choice for my location, as it will turn Calcium Carbonate into (Gypsum & Urea) ?

Greg, are Supreme & Black Beauty the same cultivar by different names? They have the same patent number on your website.

Hello Thank you for your good program and your tips I am Ali from Iran I have a few questions for you about the vine We have vines in the cold zone First question: How many liters of water does a grapevine need per year? 2. The second question: When should you start watering, when should you reduce watering, and when should you stop watering? My next 3 questions, should I irrigate during flowering? Thank you for your answer I would appreciate it if you could explain about fertilizing And what kind of fertilizer should we give, should we also give white fertilizer

It's April 1, 2021 and I planted new muscadines a couple months ago and they haven't leafed out or have any new growth. Should I go ahead and fertilize with the 10-10-10 today? I'm in Anniston, AL Zone 7.

Thanks for the wonderful video. I have two questions. Is this method good for concord and catawba grapes too? And are there any muscadine varieties that will grow for me in ohio? I saw nothing lower than zone 7 on your website but I absolutely love muscadine wine and want to grow them really badly. Thank you!

Why some growers says it should be a pencil thick before you can top the vine? Does the mothod you showed us is applicable to all grapes varieties?

Thankyou very much....for your instructional videos on muscadines.....I have followed all your directions almost to the letter and this is my first year with muscadines on the vines. Their is quite a few grapes on the vine and now I have been watching your videos on pruning the vines as well and will prune them back in jan 2020 or a little later here in north florida. My neighbors are astonished about the vine growth...they dont know that most of my first vines didnt do that well until I found your videos. I have replaced the plants that died and purchased some material from Isons such as the blue tubes and other items. Most of my vines came from walmart, lowes and a few other outlets. I started mostly with Carlos which I have found are delicious. But as some plants died I have added a variety of plants. One is a grape that I think is a cross between a concord and a muscadine and the leaves are large and look like maple leaves. It grew the fastest and was up and down the vine in both directions in one season. The grapes are supposed to grow in bunches yet smaller than my regular muscadines, I think the plants name is the Home muscadine, but dont remember exactly. Thankyou again Mr. Ison for your easy to understand videos.

Hi Greg, how do you suggest we fertilize in the years after the plant has reached its full size? Let us say from year 3 onwards? Does the same apply to fruit bearing plants? Thank you so much for this video!

These videos are excellent thanks. Is Muscadine just another word for grapes? Are these pruning examples applicable to all woody vines?

Muscadines are a type of grape that grows in the south eastern United States. It doesn't like cold climates as much as some European grape vines. Yes, this pruning style works on all grape vines to my knowledge.

Thanks for this. I've just started muscadine this year. Mine have reached the wire and started down but I did not know whether to keep the laterals or not. There is conflicting info in many articles so this was good to clarify. Please keep making the videos as I need all the information I can get!Katy
