U can try to make a cage as big as u want it and make it come over the ground and make the bottom of it hardware cloth then put like a tray under it so u just gotta grab the tray and dump it the hardware cloth doesn’t hurt the birds tho but I’d put paper towel in the tray to absorb the water but u just gotta make a frame and then put hardware cloth on all sides and top and I’d make it 2 feet or more off the ground and put doors on the sides or the top don’t matter but that’s how I do mine and I keep them outside there whole life I mean when I get them I put them in it and they do good and u don’t gotta worry about the ducklings getting cold if it’s room temperature so above 60 degrees there cuddle up and keep each other warm
Thank you! I put in an 8' x 10 raised bed almost 4 feet tall a few years ago in my garden. I was going to go to town and get hardware cloth welded wire to put down first, but I was in a hurry to finish the project when I had someone helping me from out of town. I so regret not doing that as I'm losing 2-3 feet of soil per year as mounds just outside the square raised bed & inside the bed. Even though the paths are wood chips they get multiple big mounds and as soon as I clean then up an hour or 2 later they are back. I'm even planting some garlic to see if that might help. I have had multiple mountains, what looks like gopher mounds. I feel like I'm in a silly 1950's-1960's cartoon as Elmer Fuds Mom. I'm an organic gardener (since before it was cool) And I'm on Social Security so I'm on a very tight budget. My clay soil is a good 6.3 ph, every time they do this I mix the gopher dirt with compost, coco coir, even Happy Frog soil conditioner and what ever I have on hand to add nutrients to the really large raised bed. I want to grow lots of salad greens, kale, carrots, beets etc. But they are also doing mounds in the rows of beets, daikon radish etc. I've always believed in the plant extra idea, but after the 4th car accident I've been in, I don't have the energy for these buggers. I heard ducks may help get rid of them. I may try getting ducks next year after I increase fencing as Racoons killed off my chickens. Never a dull moment on my little 1.5 acres😊Thank you and bless you for doing this video, I will like & subscribe and check out your other vides. Thank you again!😊
Don't buy a Harvest Right Machine!! If it is bad, they will put you through the wringer. Make you run a lot of test batches and upload/download files and then make you start replacing parts on your machine over and over until it works. THEY clearly don't stand behind their product or do proper quality control!!! They won't replace it!
Hi so glad your channel pop up in my feed, what a lovely garden. The deer can help itself but enjoy good food. Me is the birds asi plant they busy sing on trees enjoying my hard work planting a garden for them. Here is my subscription to support to support you grow🎉
Why do you have to make excuses about how your garden looks. Having filters and coffee grounds cannot look pretty..stop bringing attention to things that viewers do not even see. We are only interested in what you all have to share and not what you think looks good or bad. Dirt and garden is DIRTY work so?😢
Did they stink up the house after you opened the release valve for the drain? I just got a freeze dryer yesterday and am trying to decide what I should try first. We have lots of onions but I’m afraid of the house and machine smells after they are done
Duck eggs taste great and are pretty big compared to chicken eggs . My one duck girl "Pumpkin Head" would lay daily but a few times a week she would lay 2 eggs . They were there everymorning first thing she was a laying machine and too much considering from what i researched its rare for multiple eggs that much.
Not to dis what you're saying at all but more often than not the problem is body heat with shipped chicks. Good heat source and get them eating to make their own heat is at the top of the list. Chicks like Ameraucana's need more like a heat lamp for sure. Heat plates really don't cut it with them. They are slow growing birds and their babies are a little more delicate than most.
The duck eggs have a bit of a richer taster. They have a higher fat content so bakers love them. The texture is very similar, maybe just a bit tougher. I don’t know how to describe them. Very similar to chicken. I haven’t known anyone to point out they noticed a difference.
I think fuck eggs are a bit better and they are supposed to be better for you too. And they are larger ... No difference in texture it's just a better taste.. she is right it's hard to explain but you just should try it.... I had eggs from our Pekin duck named pumpkin head she laid everyday 1 or 2 huge eggs ...... She was a golden girl . I have not had other breeds of ducks eggs though so idk if any of those are different myself. It's worth it. You would like em.
It is ours and there only hope.. You have farm land keep it in years to come you will have food unlike others.. The tide is turning less affordable land even less land and home costs.. We are there only chance at a future by showing them the basics in growing and livestock management.. Take care be safe God Bless
Just cut those up and put them in a stir fry or stuff them no bread..my sis made every kind of zucchini bread u can think of pineapple apple cherry grape nut apricot and I can't stand that to this day.YUCK
😊We use them all kinds of ways. My granddaughter wanted some muffins for her school lunches so we made some today but most will be eaten as side dishes.
You put the eggs over the light of a flash light and you can see if there is a fetus inside the egg. Plus, it didn't look like she had a rooster, so if there's no rooster, than there won't be any babies
It is! My daughter’s vet gave her a hard time about it because she wasn’t buying from the US. It is from Australia and it is reputable there. Works great. We have used it for a few years now.
I’m happy to give my friends rabbit poop. I have 2 pet rabbits. They make a lot of poop. My litter is biodegradable too. The urine in their litter deters other rabbits. It’s a win win all the way around. I love that my sweet bunnies help people’s food to grow. Yes! Hit us up. We will give you their poop! They are coco puff factories. 🐇🐇💙💙
Thanks for sharing. I buy my Grand doggers the marrow bones in the grocery store,(for human bone broth), and that is very expensive. But it is so healthy for their gut. Anyway, this is a great alternative filler in between. Thank you again
