Here you will find Walkthroughs, Achievement guides, and a few play throughs of games with my brother. Mostly specializing in Tomb Raider games, however I play a little bit of everything and plan on sharing what I like.
I’m order to do that spin you have to jump one direction and use the d-pad (I use tank controls) right after jumping by pressing the opposite direction you are going. It will spin you and you can hit action to grab the ledge.
Im warching all of your walkthroughs to help me then doing it myself after for a speed run, I hear levels can take new players hours to figure out, and was like "nope."
How did you get so much ammo? i missed maybe 10% of all pickups untill this point used about 10% of magnum/shotgun ammo and have 500 ish magnum bullets and less than 20 shotgun ammo
How do you drain the water again/get the second Silver Key? Am I just being a complete moron and gonna slap myself for missing it? Edit: Nevermind, I *was* being a complete moron.
This last levels of Atlantis and Pyramid the least of mine favourites. I liked the concept of organs, muscle and brains aesthetics, but i find the levels a bit repetitive and boring lol. Btw fighting the Natla and dorso guy was cool. The odd thing is the dorso guy was pretty easy in comparison to tomb raider anniversary, in tra the boss was super super hard!
Yeah he was definitely easier than I remember, and hard on TRA. But yeah, I didn’t care for these levels as much as previous levels in the first game. They used to give me a headache when I played them in the 90’s
loved the sense of suspense and wide desert landscape on all opening era. i dunno why but i experienced more pleasure playing the old engine rather than the remastered lol
My fav lvl from the last levels. This lvl somehow reminds me a bit industrial theme from TR 2. It's an entire different lvl from all others. Liked to fight kid and bad guys eheh
Yeah, it originally came out in ‘96 so fits with the time period. The theory thrown around is that Natla looked at what was “popular” then and that’s how she ended up with certain tropes of the time (the cowboy, the skater kid) working for her lol.
For people using modern controls on the first jump: *Walk* to the edge, line Lara up with the edge and jump forwards. Holding action as soon as the jump begins.
Yup. When the developers put it up there, they thought it was reachable. When testers discovered they couldn’t reach it, they left it there as a joke. That’s when Jason McAllister came along and discovered the glitch to get up there. I’m glad they left it in and even have an achievement to get to it.
TR CLASSIC JUST ENTIRELY TOO DAMN HARD! I'm starting to really hate this game! Cannot enjoy a game that I have to pause every minute to go watch a walkthrough video. About to uninstall this POS!
@@mattfayne9691 Fair enough, I use tank controls but that’s also what I’m used to from playing this back in the 90’s. Is it the controls or the puzzles that are giving you an issue?
@@TheHiaira //Is it the controls or the puzzles that are giving you an issue?// FACEPALM...I did just say that the modern controls are ''easy''...so no, not the controls. It's the puzzles and the VERY confusing level lay out.
@@mattfayne9691 you said they were easier, not easy. Some people find them easier but still have issues with controls overall. I’m just trying to figure out the issue to figure out if I can help or not. As for level design, I get where you can find it confusing. A lot of levels require backtracking and really exploring/questioning the environment. If you prefer more direct, linear games this may not be the game for you and there’s nothing wrong with that. My advice would be to just take the game slow, perhaps even go back and replay some of the earlier levels and challenge yourself to try to do it with memory. This will help you start to see patterns within the game as well. Back in the 90’s I didn’t have RU-vid to reference, and sometimes there were levels where I felt extremely stuck. Oftentimes I would step away from that game and come back when less irritated, and find what I was missing.
This level took me 3hrs!!! My average time per level has been around 2hrs. I cannot move forward 20 steps without consulting a walkthrough. Cannot believe how difficult these original TR games are. I blast through the modern ones with a breeze, no help needed.
It’s really been great to see how different time periods of gamers have been with this game. One of the main reasons I started these walkthroughs was because a friend who had never played games back in the 90’s was like “Mrs H I do not know how to get through these levels.” He found it very challenging at first and not in a good way. Now that he is beginning to understand the grid system and controls better he is beginning to enjoy the challenges. For me, coming back to this has been like muscle memory however I can see where people more used to modern games will find these difficult. Give yourself some time and you’ll start to see where you will be getting through levels easier.
For everyone who is having issues making the first jump from the moveable block to the pillar the best way ive found is to 1. Climb up the side of the block facing closest to the taller pillar, you will be facing away from it 2. Aim the pistols, while aiming turn the camera so Lara is now facing the pillar 3. Hit jump then push forwards on the movement stick then hit grab I was able to make this jump consistently doing thag method, hope it helps!!
I'm sorry to hear that. It could be a recent problem with the newest update. Did you try going back and forth between new graphics and old graphics to see if maybe it was popping up on one?
My favourite levels of tr1, the intro on this level is super nostalgic eheh. I took a couple of screenshots while i was observing the details of egypt civilization. I paused the game a few times to just admire the beauty of this :)
Then you’re just not doing it right. If you’re using modern controls try tank. I don’t have any issues with movement except the occasional smack in to walls which is usually my fault anyway.
Not my favourite lvl but i really liked fighting the centaurs 🙂 The level become interesting after the subterranean cave prior to centaurs. The scion zone is just beautiful with all red tones eheh
This was probably one of my least favorite of the Greece levels, but it had its moments. I did enjoy the centaur fight, the first time that statue blew open back in the 90’s scared me to death. 🤣
@@TheHiaira eheh funny i got scared moments too, it's so cool that even passed so much time i am still surprised by creatures that appears from nowhere lol 🤭🤭
I think I understand why you didn't do the second room after the first one. In Palace Midas, there are 3 doors you have to go above aqueduct the one above the aqueduct and that takes the longest to get the lead bar so you probably did the two easy trials first.
Yes, it keeps you from backtracking so much if you do the other two first and then that one. Once you complete that one you can go straight to the garden without having to backtrack for the other two.
