We have a vision of families being agents of positive social change so that the inherent value of people with developmental disability is recognised within a just and inclusive society. Our mission is to attain positive social roles for people who have a developmental disability through the development and support of advocacy by families and by strengthening the knowledge, role and influence of the family.

This video was so touching! I worked for an architectural firm when I first started working and they were specialised in school projects. I documented a few ramps and accessible toilets myself without knowing the importance of it back then. It is great to live in such a great country and be surrounded by such supportive community. I appreciate it every single day. Penny you are such an inspiration and strong person. Al is very lucky to have you 💕💕💕

Penny, that is so amazing. I resonate with every word said. Jye too had an awesome inclusive high school experience. Sharing our stories will help families in the future who are faced with the same curve ball, just as those before us helped with us. I too can't thank Family Advocacy enough for coming in to our lives, giving us the opportunity to see our options and directing how it can be achieved. It was very clear to me what option we were going to take. Thank you for the heartfelt story.

Wonderful little film - so many positive and creative ways to include students across the life of their schooling years.

Joel’s message is extremely powerful. It remains universally applicable - to each one of us personally, and to our sons and daughters with and without disability. I am sitting here teary-eyed and so very, very proud of my amazing, inspirational, visionary son who was once considered ‘too disabled’ to go to a mainstream school and yet went on to win the Australian Government’s inaugural National Disability Award for Personal Achievement. Joel crossed the veil on 25.06.2008 but his legacy will live on forever.
