Rosa Parks was NOT the originator of that defiance. It was a young female child of about 14. They used Rosa for her eloquent speaking and knowledge, The story is on a plaque on the wall at the MLK museum in Memphis TN❤
When you find out it was a completely different woman that got kicked off the bus, and Parks stole her story because she was a well known, and liked member of the community.

This suggests the NAACP saw an opportunity in Parks' spontaneous act of defiance, not that it was pre-planned by her. "Parks's act of defiance and the Montgomery bus boycott became important symbols of the movement." Her actions sparked the movement, rather than being calculated beforehand.
@@SpecialSpot7 My dad attended a speech where she admitted to this. She and her colleagues also have multiple statements expressing the same thing. They had tried earlier with a different persoj, but it was unsuccessful. Rosa Parks is only remembered becausd it wax successful.
