Thank you for this video it helped a lot. I have been using happy camper for a couple years and have had many clog ups along the way, mainly due to not using enough water because of dry camping. I am going to be trying the Liquified now. Also, your experiment was very well performed in my book but it would be nice to see how everything flows out of the lower side of the totes (side hole near bottom) to be more like what would happen while emptying your tank.
I had the same swing around barbecue exactly like yours. Yes it's garbage. I got rid of mine too. I have the 22 inch black stone also with the lid but man, it's heavy👍🏻🇺🇲
At the end of the video he says to never ever put fresh water into your rv from any spigot that is within reach of a dump station. My question is how do you know someone hasn't used a full hookup site's water spigot to clean tanks and hoses? What precautions should be taken before connecting a fresh water hose to a suspect spigot?
Nice test and good conclusions. I do not want digestion in my holding tank. The sludge it creates is what I believe coats sensors and the tank. I tried Digest and the stink was terrible. Happy Camp has controlled odors and allowed my tank to drain and flush relatively clean. Additionally I hate thin toilet paper. We use Charmin Strong and put it in seal-able sandwich bags disposed of in the trash. Probably no correct answer and you did a good job pointing that out. You need to find what works best for you. Thnks.
It is no different for motor homes. My Jeep doesn't add any weight to the motor home but a trailer would. Many motor homes are overloaded without realizing it. Motor homes and trailers both have fresh, grey and black water tanks that need to be taken in account when traveling.
All true! Lol 😂 37 years old, about to retire from USCG (20 Yr career) in April 98! Went to Phoenix AZ for rv shopping. Neither no knowledge or experience. Gonna full time right out the gate. Decided on a 38’ triple slide Alpha Gold (heavy) looked at nothing except interior, Lol 😂! Dealer told us we have Ford & Dodge dealerships. If, buy a truck from us it will be $500 over our cost. Done ✅ 1 ton Dodge dully w/new V-10 gas beast! CA-NJ-AZ-SD. Towed easy & stable. RV life new and don’t think transmissions were upgrading back then. Learned quickly - even with electric brakes, you need ROOM to stop. Other lesson - checked in to small rv park MO. Told left from office, take 1st 2 rights, 3rd spot on the left. Not a pull thru. Did Not mention 1st right is the beginning of a climb 500’ long. Didn’t look steep, ugh it was to steep! Halfway up we’re going backwards & brakes wouldn’t hold. Told tow operator need a big tow truck. Sent little, he said, he was to tell me unkook an he tow 1 at a time. Car tow truck, I asked how will you hook to the 5th trailer that big. Enuf on that. Then- In ‘05 I went back to work. Couldn’t tolerate civilian (crybaby) employees. Climbed in an 18 wheeler & never looked back unless driving! Lol 😂 now with DEF on diesels & the expense of them, No Thanks. Still in big trucks a few more years. Starting to watch for the biggest & baddest 3/4 ton Gas tow vehicle with highest rating. I hope to never push any limits. My desire is stay 2,000 lbs below max. We will see how small that becomes. That’s class for today! Written test in the morning, class dismissed! Lol 😂 Be Safe
I had a cheap tongue lock like you showed, yellow with a U-bolt style latch. Those style locks are easy to pry off the ball coupler in no time. I now use a Fort Knox brand puck on my trailer. This lock too could be removed if the thief wants to spend the time to do it, but this lock is way more difficult to remove. It gives me more peace of mind. Thanks for the tips.
It’s all explained in the Owner’s Manual. If you don’t understand the information, ask a knowledgeable person. Overloading your tow vehicle can have disastrous results. Excellent information provided here. Thanks.
in heat above 75F, or below 45F. or a long day of driving, it is a good deal. spoiled food is not good for your body. but in the photo no tarp, and a far more secure mount/hold down is needed.
😂🤣😂 Am glad I’ve never been interested in towing anything anywhere. I use to weigh 150kg (330lbs) and now weigh 107kg (235lbs) and the fact that I haven’t weighed 68kg (150lbs) in more than 45 years means I won’t be towing anything especially an oversized, overweight and overpriced porta dunny any time soon. 😂🤣😂 Thanks for sharing here in Australia our towing rules are much the same so this video was still helpful. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I'm very shocked at this video. After watching a few of your videos I want to say thank you for the details and time you take into putting in these videos. I use the Eaz-Lift 30" jacks with the JT strong arm. I did the same test you just did and I can't get the bumble to move out of the two lines. When I got my trailer the kids just walking would wake me up. Now I don't feel them moving at all. Both Items I talk about are on amazon very cheap. However your 2x4 idea was amazing and what a deal on savings. Thank you again for your video and the others.
I use the Dawn/Zep Citrus Degreaser/Borax. Four years in and it has done well. I also have use flushable wipes & dog poop bags instead of flushing the TP, however, before switching to wpipes I would use any TP with no isues.
