My name is Lukasz and I am based out of Chicago. I have been traveling solo since 2016. Travel has been my passion since I was a little kid but more recently, more people began reaching out and encouraging me to start sharing my adventures which is why I decided to start this channel; to share my experiences through my eyes and my camera lens.
I hope to provide some useful insights as well as encourage more people to get out of their comfort zones and try something new! Hope you enjoy!
Hello, great video. What do yoy mean by reservations on the part when you enter the park? Don’t you just need to show the tickets? I am staying outside the park in a hotel
Campsite reservation along the treks - that was my understanding. I would double check but whether you’re day hiking or trekking, you need to purchase your tickets ahead of time and show them at the park entrance. With that said, when I went the park rangers were on strike so no one checked my reservations and I didnt pay an entrance fee
Thank you for another wonderful video. It looks so beautiful - Nature at its glory. You are so lucky walking in this beautiful journey, fulfilling your dreams. Quite times. Soaking all that inside. It's a great way to live life. I bet it took lots of preparations. Aren't you a bit afraid to do this journey by yourself there in the wilderness? Thank you again for well taken and edited video. I really felt i was there...
It was so peaceful, i saw only a handful of people over three days. To tell you the truth, i dont prepare at all - I just go! My mom always worries about me going by myself into the wilderness but that is just something I love and I’ll do it with or without someone:) thank you so much for your comment!
@@LukeGeeTravels If you didn't prepare at all it means that you are so sure of yourself managing out there alone. It seems you are so connected to nature that you feel secure. That's great ❣️ It's wonderful to see how you follow your heart. Living with nature and walking in it is the best way to live life. I can understand your mom's worrying but I can also understand your need to do so. You seem to be a very responsible person so carry on doing what you need to do and enjoy your life while taking care of yourself. 🦋
@@LukeGeeTravels You are welcome. I joined your channel after watching your video of hiking in Slovenia, which is my favorite country for hiking for now. I will carry on enjoying your videos. 🌺🌻
Slovenia was incredible! I went a little past the peak season - typically the water in all those rivers is super blue. I still enjoyed the fall colors there:)
@LukeGeeTravels thank you!! I travel to Ecuador Sunday. I am a chocolatier and I will visit some cacao farms. I live in Wisconsin and this is my first time out of the country in quite a few years. I am sure I will love Ecuador. Thank you for the video!
You really should have more views and more subscribers than you do. Your videos are always filled with lots of useful information, beautiful views, and excellent videography.
I am beyond excited to watch this because I added Pinedale and Wind River day hikes to my travel bucket list because it reminds me of my love for Grand Teton Mountain range.
@@LukeGeeTravels I just got back from my first trip to the PNW. I explored Olympic NP for three days. Hiking in the rain forests were my favorite. Explored the beaches at sunset.
@BobI-jb4rk oh wow! That is awesome! Did you stop at Rialto Beach and i cant remember the name of the other one. Also, Sol Duc Falls? Olympic peninsula is great!
@@LukeGeeTravels yes. Rialto and Kahaloch beaches. SolDuc was my favorite. I also did Hoh Rainforest. Short hikes near Lake Crescent. Drove up to Hurricane Ridge for half a day.
@BobI-jb4rk all the places i would have recommended and the ones i have been to! Im happy for you that you got to enjoy all of those places! so where is the next adventure?
I hope you enjoyed this breathtaking backpacking trip! It was one of my favorite trips I have done to date! If you are looking for other backpacking hikes, check out my trip to the Sawtooth Mountains in Idaho: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DhcyUADo90E.htmlsi=-WlCgvmQWoxML4BS
In that case, you would not have enough time to go down to Cuenca and even then you may feel rushed - I would recommend you sit down and really think about what you want to see and give yourself an extra day in your itinerary because you’ll most likely spend more time than you planned for in some of these places:)
@@kmprash i think that would make it a lot easier for all of you. Pull off whenever you want to and perhaps go to places off the beaten path. Car is a great idea, the roads are very well maintained!
@professorlee6197 make sure to acclimate for a day or two in Quito and you wont have any problems later. Car is great! I loved the buses and how prompt they were! If you can, get to Cuenca - stunning place!
You can drive to Kolsay Lake and the road is paved all the way. You will need to hire a driver for Lake Kaindy, the road is horrible and unless you have an offroad vehicle, you’ll have to pay one of the local drivers to take you there
Please do yourself a favor and go to eat to el inquilino in cerro concepción, if you like pasta go to Il Paparazzo, and go in viña to don emelio in 5 norte street. im a local, totally love these places to eat, i do not get paid to share this but those are amazing places to eat that you should try, and except for the pastas they give an amazing experience of the cuisine here in the hands of good chiefs.
Thank you for sharing! I hope people watching this video will see your comment and check it out! I went to a peruvian restaurant and the food was delicious!
Fall is much an amazing time to travel. The fall colors are out and the crowds are down. I would look for some peach cobbler and vanilla ice cream to celebrate the end of the hike.
Hi Luke Great video. I want to break up some of the longer days. Are there refugios where I can do this? Any companies you would recommend to set this up? Thanks
Are you looking to do the W Trek? In that case you can spend your first night on Hotel Las Torres or hike up to Refugio Chileno and spend a night there. In the middle of the trek, you can hike up to Los Cuernos (which is shorter hike) or hike further down to Camp Frances (tents only). The following day, it’s a relative short hike to Paine Grande. Last night you can stay in Refugio Grey. For tour companies, you can google ‘Torres del Paine trekking’ or contact local companies in Puerto Natales. Hope this helps!
If you enjoyed exploring these gems in Northern Georgia, I invite you to check out my other video from Georgia! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-f7mH5hO8x60.htmlsi=Ig7AK1OdOJZDARJL
@mattc4266 im almost certain most of the colors will be gone, you may find some! You will find less crowds which is nice and as far as weather, that part of new Hampshire is unpredictable! Worst case, i can give you suggestions as backup plans
I rented a car and stayed near Luodong - I think this is the best way. I’m not sure how frequent public transportation is but with car you can stop wherever you like :)
