Hey, I'm Elliott, and welcome to my channel! I'll be uploading things from my VHS collection, whether that be commercial breaks, separate promos and bumpers, or whatever else, you'll find it here! A lot of my uploads are from Cartoon Network, as the majority of my collection is from the channel, but I got stuff from other channels too!
My current set-up: -Panasonic PV-V4521 VCR -Panasonic DMR-ES15 DVD Recorder -Ion MKII capture device
Question, how does the network determine when it's time to do promos for the network, in station mode (meaning the particular station in your city, in this case this is from my former city, Brooklyn, yes a separate city from New York), and advertise local commercials? And when does it go into network mode, meaning airing the promos for the network directly on the network and airing network commercials?
I use a Ion MKII actually, it's pretty similar to Dazzle but it hides the datalines that would usually be at the top (which is great cause I've never been a fan of having that present in a tape transfer).
I've been watching from TCM 2nd year on the air. It was magical. It always gave you the brighter side of life. Now it isn't half as good as it was. That are making a movie channel that plays classic movies. I'm too modern a way. Not to mention. WB took over it stinks. But I'm part of the Nielsen rating company. And what I watch on my television set really counts. So if I were TMC I'd go back to the old stuff real quick
I've remember June Bugs A-Z the First Weekend of June 2002 at my Auntie Thumb's house in Brighton, Alabama right around my 2nd Born cousin Jamaal's High School Graduation at Jess Lanier High School in Bessemer, Alabama while I promoted to the 7th Grade at Huffman Middle School in Birmingham, Alabama living at Southside Clairmont Apartment we had Time Warner Cable, playing the N64 like WWF No Mercy, Ready to Rumble Round 2, Madden NFL 2001, Goldeneye 007
It wasn't actually that rare, just the beginning, because this ID has been a bit incomplete since it was first uploaded in the internet more than 10 years ago.
If only that user and the stuff he/she used to have would come back. Sure were a lot of great videos containing ads, promos, and bumpers back in the day.
I was in Clairmont Apartment when me and my Mom (LeNora Stevens) had Time Warner Cable (now Spectrum) watching Cartoon Network, ESPN, ESPN Classics, ESPN 2, Toon Disney, Nickelodeon, Disney Channel (before the Bounce era)
I think this print was made after the Turner-Time Warner merger, so that must be why there is the WB Television logo. Or that logo was added there additionally?
Oh, how I miss the old Powerhouse Era of Cartoon Network. Some of the best years of my later childhood. IMO, the Powerhouse Era was probably the best in Cartoon Network history. This must've been recorded during the late night hours, due to the blue/black colors of the CN bumpers.
“Minus Tease for Two”? You mean you don’t like it? Why not? Side comment: I totally remember the Feather’s Day Special marathon. CN sure went all out with marathons for special occasions at the time. And I don’t know if you noticed but they tended to show Post Pebbles ads with the 1994-1997 design despite the change on the box already made.
The best thing about Nick GAS was that they had the old Nickelodeon game shows comprised as Double Dare (Marc Summers era), Nick Arcade, Legends of the Hidden Temple and so on. I miss all those game shows.
