Muito bom o papo... Skank é daquelas bandas que chegam a fazer parte da paisagem, de tantas músicas e tanto sucesso que fizeram (isso é um elogio). Sucesso pro Samuel Rosa nessa nova fase!
This is so surreal 🤩 You have NO IDEA how badly and for how long I wanted to see what’s inside those awards. (I don’t even care about knowing who it belonged to…. Okay I do a little. But thanks for uploading this!)
Really interesting panel! Learned quite a bit. Nintendo Power was what got me interested in becoming a writer and getting a Journalism degree, so it's really neat to hear the behind the scenes stuff about what really went on back then! I appreciate the maps so much more now!
This was super cool. I'm going back to watch what I missed. I follow you on other platforms and never knew there was a RU-vid channel. 🤦♂️ Thanks for what you do.
I just remembered something else. As a child it was always a dream of mine to have my artwork featured in Nintendo Power. Finally, I made it into issue 196 on page 108 under the "hand drawn" category. Since we had to submit digital photos of our artwork I still have the original copy at home. However, they spelled my username wrong hahaha.
Fun fact: The game counselor at the 2:37 mark, Armond Williams, can be seen in a handful of the Nintendo Power promotional VHS tapes that Nintendo produced in the 90's.

I've got something that very few people have I've got actual written letters from Nintendo with the nintendo logo on the paper and we were subscribed to Nintendo power and they would always respond to our letters me and my older brother wrote to nintendo and they mention stuff about we asked if there would be a metroid 2 and they actually said that they really haven't given it much thought but it may be in the works in a couple of months and they and they actually send us a nintendo power where each sheet was photo copied and its black and white and its stapled together can you believe that shit and we have the letter stating why its printed out we have everything in mint condition of course I would believe it could be worth something to someone but its legit we have all documents with the envelopes with nintendo on the front.
Nintendo released the Game Boy Pocket in 1996. They created a series of commericals as part of their marketing campaign. This jingle called "Small" was the backing track to one such commercial. However, as part of a bulk find, we recently discovered two unused versions of the track on cassette tape, and here there are!
Retro gaming hippies approves! Thanks for this video and making the game available. I am a huge old school wrestling and video game collector and recently picked up a hard copy of this game from a great guy named John Riggs at PRGE, and since I thought it was a home brew, he told me of the history which led me to the video.
