Just discovered Bellevue and it looks like home. How is climate change affecting the greater Seattle area, are you getting more or less rain? We are drowning in the North of Europe and I want out.
I’m in Spokane now and I absolutely hate the people here ! Diversity is not the thing here and the people are odd in a bad way! Seattle has the sea! Food and culture
Nice editing but the restaurants selected are basic. There are other choices with much better character and quality of food (Chace's, Gilbert's, Carmine's, Pumphouse, etc.).
Thanks for your input! I’ll have to try those for sure. I LOVE Carmine’s! I send my clients there when looking to explore the area :) honestly there were a lot of places I just couldn’t go in with a camera and film so I did my best to show some fun spots that I think people new to the area would enjoy!

The area is great and right next to Safeway, other stores and bus lines run along the main road so it’s great if you’re commuting! I haven’t personally lived there but it’s a great option from what I’ve seen :) I almost moved in there a few years ago as well.
Seattle and Washington State are really beautiful, clearly not as big as CA but maybe even more diverse and arguably a bit more impressive. But it is farther north so January and February can be tough unless you are an avid skier/snowshoe person. My wife is from the bay area and she does struggle with it. And it's clearly not for everybody - you have to want to go out and do stuff outside. If you'd rather sit at home and watch sports or do inside hobbies/activities then Seattle is just really expensive and full of traffic.

Thanks for the local insight. I visited Kirkland for the first time today to tour apartments after moving to South Lake Union a year ago, and I think I will be much happier in a place like this!

My daughter will be attending Lake Washington institute of technology in the Fall. She is looking for a studio apartment, around $700. Any advice? She had the experience of living with roommates before, and it was terrible
Hi Crystal! Oops.. didn't see this comment earlier. I would recommend roommates in this case but given her negative past experience, I would maybe say she is going to need to commute a ways away for a studio. I know there are some micro-apartments available too - something possibly worth looking into. I think roommates are still going to be the best bet, though.. probably a good idea to meet with some of them first and see who she would get along with.
