Im entering my Junior year of majoring in Animation so I'm starting to research and think about what I want to do for my thesis film lol. Thanks for sharing your experience and work!
When Zim says: "I've been watching you, waiting, and so... you world will be MINE!" he actually sounds menacing O.O Also, GIR's laugh in 0:22 it's so cute!
I am very positive that your channel could potentially finally receive the recognition it deserves this design was crazy amazing! Who wouldn't love it!
Hold up IMA roast Zim for a moment . Boi ur forehead is bigger than mega minds u need to fix that shit.god dam IMA just do this 0:35 It's big brain time
Well I acutally marked my Invader Zim video myself because I didn't wanna get a fine... But it seems most animation channels are still fine so I'm gonna put it back as " not for children"
1st To comment... Love the cat, looks like your long-lost huggable grandpa from Iceland, who tells great fishing stories from his Glory Days as he carves a whales teeth, with a awkwardly short chisel from the repetitive dulling and resharpening of the tool. Often cursing like a sailor by the bonfire , short south of the Rocky Lighthouse by the shore, talking about Willy.nobody really knew who willy was, probably that dagger toothed whale that gave him that scar on his left eye as he always suggested. but really he got the scar and the bit off the ear when he was a wee lad, once not paying attention while gutting a fish with the blade cutting towards him, nicking his eye while talking to the pretty barkeeper. And the other embarrassingly, ear getting caught by fishing hook as his friend swung full-force and tore off a good chunk of it, surprisingly catching a 10 lb salmon with the delicacy cat ear bait. But his pride will never allow him to admit such storys. His home the lighthouse witch he inherited from his father. Warm & Cozy interior with a random assortment of knick knacks of bronze and copper. Long shelves with rows and rows of beautifully carved whale teeth, some with hints of green or gold showing depictions of simplified animals made out of straight clean lines with glass Jewels for eyes, the borders are beautifully intricate carved of triangle, square, or other geometric shapes. On the walls they are a few painting of fish and sea life as well as a few mermaid catfish. His best work is painted across the bottom Dome of the lighthouse were the light shines out words towards the sea. It depicts a painting of The Creation of Adam :by Fresco painting by Michelangelo, but instead shows a younger version of him touching a whale's flipper. ( this was supposed to be short but I went away to overboard )
I said it once now I'm going to say it again your film was absolutely amazing! and you did a super awesome job of pulling it off! The work and effort you put into your film really shows, and the concept of it all is just out of this world!
Aaah thank you so much! 😊 thank you for making my evening with this nice comment. I realise that this short film is pretty much dead by now and that I should just move on to other stuff, but it's nice for it to be appreciated one last time
Instagram is stupid , but you got wrong thinking that popular stuff will give you likes. It something your passion about something a different from everyone else
Well I used to be a huge weeb but since that phase ended I'm not into any fandoms. I was really into Undertale for a while when it came out though. I like animated movies like disney and pixar the best! I watch Coco at least once a month, it currently my favorite!!
@@imaginationmind8072 I put my discord link in the description! (Ont that doesn't expire after a day this time) so check it out :) No I don't have any projects in mind at the moment. I want to make some 3D animated short films in the future but I just graduated from art school so I have to focus on making some money first!
I can't believe you're getting such little attention on this video! I'm only a minute in but I'm already loving it. I feel like most of the criticisms I've seen for the show are about Vivzie being a terrible person or the pilot being problematic, but very few people are talking about the quality of the pilot itself. I've been dying to see someone talk about the issues with the animation and the way you explained the issues was so informative. As someone who wants to pursue a career in animation, I found this super helpful! On a different note: I can't quite explain it, but some of the characters in Hazbin just look...unappealing, I guess. I think if anyone had the ability to dissect what makes the designs fall flat, it's you. You obviously don't have to, but I'd love to know your opinion on the character design/color choice (seriously, Alastor is way too monochromatic) if you get the chance!
I don't know if it's too much if I make another video, but next to animation I also do character design myself (again not an expert but I know what I'm doing) and I do have some strong opinions on the character designs of this show. I realise that I forgot to adress that because the complex designs are also not really suited for animation either, and that would have beem another great argument for this video. Maybe I'll make another one, I'll think about it!
You bring up a lot of good points in this video, and I have to agree. One big thing I noticed, too, is that the pacing could use some work. Sometimes, you get shots that don’t even last a second, which can be okay, but they’re just too quick here. Like when Alastor walks up to Angel and asks what he can do for the hotel, Angel replies **spoilers, but I expect you know it,** and Alastor has that microphone screech moment in shock/surprise? That would have been a lot funnier if they slowed it down. Of course, that also ties in elements of sound design and the voice overs, but it wouldn’t have been hard to extend that .5 milliseconds. Just that would have helped. Overall, the Pilot was incredible and everyone who worked on it is incredibly talented, but the show has a long way to go. Hopefully, it will start gaining some traction now and the animation will improve (as all 30 animators can/will improve with more experience). All I know is that I’m hyped for the future of this show and to see it only get better!
