Wisconsin cheeseheads who moved to Philly! A daddy & son's story series, from our Milwaukee Brewers road trips (going to all 30 MLB stadiums) to the travel & adventures in our new hometown of Philadelphia, our old home in Milwaukee, my wife/the kid’s mommy’s home state of West Virginia, all over America from California to New York (and beyond?), restaurant experiences and food reviews (particularly fried cheese curds, the kid’s favorite), with cameos by Mommy, lots of sports talk & live conversation, to the book Daddy has up his sleeve. Any monetization of this channel will go directly towards our son's education.
@@SorgiStories it made me so happy to see you highlight the Korean War Memorial. My grandpa served over there and unfortunately received a Purple Heart because of it. He never really talked much about it, and I don’t blame him. I’m so thankful he started opening up in the last few years and I had at least some fragments of what happened directly from his lips. It’s unimaginable to think he just turned off that chapter of his life, returned for high education, got a PhD, raised a family, and became a president of a community college. Such a normal life after the most intense trauma anyone could imagine.
@@BaseballRoadTripper So many soldiers’ post-war lives become that. Their discipline and determination yield incredible contributions to the world, but they neglect their own pain instead of coming to understand it and find healing. That’s what was so amazing about covering those Honor Flights, to watch these otherwise-stoic men become puddles of cathartic healing & joy because they discover people who understand, and they get the gratitude so many of them never received.
How fun! Now you got me motivated. :) I was going to attempt 3 MLB games at different stadiums in one day and its tough to work out. Dsarm did 5 in 24 hours... Does that count as the same day though? Looks like a good time was had!
Next time we see you, we’ll play that musician/sports figure game. I’ve heard of at least 10 names the kid’s thrown own in this vid tho. 80s is when I would have been most (but still not terribly) knowledgeable about sports.
Nice video, Jay! I love seeing the connection between you and Anthony. What an awesome relationship you two have, and how great that you share the passion for sports!
4 in one day? Crazy! More crazy than that? How many runs you saw scored during the day! Even more incredible than that? The lad knows the athletic revenue of UMBC!!!!!!!!!
@@SorgiStories Still an awesome adventure! Navy vs Penn State would've been the ultimate capper. I'll have to do my research on the athletic budget of Wittenberg College and see if it is worth me trying this...
This was a blast. Bummed that the rain hung around and even got worse. But I guess that just means you get to do it again. I've said it before, but I'll say it again: I absolutely LOVE seeing a father/son duo not only creating memories together, but supporting one another's dreams. Not many kids get to have a dad who encourages them to make videos, chase sports dreams, and do all of that TOGETHER. I know you two are lucky to have one another. Just like I am lucky to count your family as friends.
@@SorgiStories oh I definitely will but maybe we also could go to see a Washington Wild Things baseball game in Washington County I will even pay for the tickets
I enjoyed this, Jay. You and your boy are so sweet together. He is certainly going to have lots of wonderful memories of his childhood when he grows up!
Awesome you guys went to Fenway! We love that stadium! Tristyn had one of her biggest ball hawking days ever with the Brewers. BTW..... we just had a great day with Zack at Dodger Stadium with the Brewers. Zack had an even better day than Tristyn did, but just barely... 😀
That rotunda was sweet! Something about a beer at a game that just makes it better. What about Peeps on a s’more??? A Sloppy Big Joe Mac??? 🤔. And a WIN for your boys! What is your record now on these road games if you remember?
@@TheTolleRoad Now, I believe 15-13 at our road games. (We’ve had repeat visits at seven of our 17 stadiums, and the record does not include games at the artist formerly known as Miller Park, of course.)
Some good cards from 1980 Topps, look for Rickey Henderson, Nolan Ryan, Pete Ross, George Brett and some others hof’ers. If they are in really good condition, some may be worth grading
Hi Samovi!! Bert Blyleven! I expect all of these cards to be sorted by now, Anthony. Gotta love the niche RU-vid community that we are a part of - just great people.
@@BaseballRoadTripper She, like you my dude, qualify. Perhaps we can get a “Ballgame” singalong Tuesday for the 7th inning stretch? (Ah, she has prior commitments.)
