One of South Africa's most popular gospel groups of all time, Amadodana Ase Wesile influenced a generation of similar accappella acts in South Africa. The Methodist group has been one of South Africa's top-selling music groups since 1985.

Internationally acclaimed, Amadodana Ase Wesile, was formed in 1985 by the Methodist Church’s Young Men’s Guild (YMG) of Gauteng’s Central District. The founders were Thomas Mokhathi and Mongezi Nhose.

Through their melodious voices, the message of cultural and spiritual autonomy has touched many hearts over the years, not only in our local community but even further afield, in the communities of all nations. They obtained First Prize at the International Gospel Music Festival in Istanbul, Turkey in July 2000 and never looked back.
