hey mate, I think i've bumped into you at the tunks boat ramp before (group of kids admiring your sick boat), awesome video, casting under those marinas always works so well!
Nice vid mate I just bought myself a little set up wish I saw this before cause I probably would have picked the Diawa up. Never fished soft plastics but kinda keen to give it a go, one thing I didn’t know BFC can spool your rod for you how much does it cost to do that?
Good on you Aaron, keep it up. I’ve been doing a comp up here in Forster, but mediocre results. An open type comp, with three largest. target species of Bream, Flathead, Whiting, Snapper, Kingies, Jewfish. Three biggest of each you can get. Good thing as well, up to you whether want to fish lake or outside, or landbased which I am. Called the Wallace Lake Fishing Company.
Hey mate thanks for the comment, I understand what your saying I really do but you can do what I do in a tinny, in a kayak, however you like, doesn’t matter if it’s a 30k boat or a 10 dollar canoe
It’s funny the way fishermen get attached to their particular rods, reels even the certain soft plastics they go to. The confidence, combos and baits. I bought a new rod, a Daiwa Infeet Z 712 L.F.S. There is no doubt, a great rod and well over the $300 mark. However I always choose my Shimano Maikuro II 702 2-4kg. It’s only a $80 rod but I love it, always feel comfortable using it and I’ve caught so many fish with it. The light tackle game so quirky like that, yeah.😮
That ramp is bad as.... I got stuck unable to get my 5m boat out at mid-tide. Had to wait to high tide to be able to get it out due to the sand at the bottom of the ramp
I have the L version in the zodias, but it's a bit too stiff for what I need it for still a top rod. Bought the UL version for top water and flats fishing. Its perfect it's crisp in the tip, so there's no line slap after you load it. I've had mine for a week paired to a 2500ci4+. For the money, you ant go wrong.
Nice video made. I fished that day as well. Fishing was tough as you said but managed to find a few up the river on crank baits. Could agree more about the club. I fished as a visitor but will definitely be joining before next season.
hey mate, definitely don't need a gps lock trolling motor to do it. I hardly use my gps. only use it when I've caught a fish and need to stop in one spot.
