Cool vid. I watched reviews and went with the Beta 300 RE. I’ve had jetting problems which left me with a lot of buyers remorse and wishing I had gotten something else. Got the jetting fixed with a JD kit and now it’s the best bike I’ve ever ridden. And……it’s not orange like everyone else’s up here in Idaho. Cheers fellas. All the best. 🍻🏁

Been out of the harescramble scene for years.but i set up a 02 yz250 then a 04 125.i used to set up the motor for bottom end tourqe.reed spacer fmf knarly pipe.on the 125 i had the stinger outlet opened up with a pipe spreader i also shaved 20 thousand off the header portion of the pipe used 65 pipe springs with a brass pipe shim from i think a rm 125.very lean pilot and lean cut away.had a flywheel weight.but my gearing was totally opposite of what people normally do.instead of going up on the rear sprocket i went down i think i ran a 46 rear.i could lug it around to keep the chassis settled and with yhe gearing anf flywheel it could fly through the tight stuff and even for a 125 had plenty of rpm range to hardly shift.but that was 20 years ago.

Hello! did you remove the rk head? I was thinking about getting one for my 2022 300 but I'm not sure if the performance is worth it for slow, technical enduro. I currently have 13-50 and would like some more power down low. Maybe a 12-48 will fix it. Otherwise I am quite happy with the Beta although I have used it very little. I bought it new and it's only 14 hours old. Previously used an rk head on a 17 carb ktm 300. I gained more torque but it was also easier for the engine to shut down at low revs.
@dnice5725
@dnice5725 8 дней назад
Hi, I did remove the head for now. I found that it made the power a little too aggressive in the mid range and, as a result, I was loosing some of the tractor like feel of the stock engine ( I ride at lower elevation).This is just my opinion based on my riding style. The head is a great product and worked as expected. It definitely resulted in a performance gain. I may have been able to gear up to tame the power but didn’t try that. In single track and technical trails, the stock power delivery is great. I’m currently at 13/48 and like the feel. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I have to agree .... The Beta 300RR I rode last weekend has the most responsive 2t engine I've felt in any dirt bike. Beyond that its hard to make a judgement because the suspension was so under-sprung and soft the bike was a bit hard to control
@dnice5725
@dnice5725 8 дней назад
The race edition’s suspension would probably feel better to you. Stiffer and with much better hold up. I watched a couple of your videos. Looks like you have great places to ride! A little similar to Pennsylvania.

I'm also going to get my suspension revalved as its set up for enduro GP (Brad Freeman ) and people will say just buy an RR but KYB is way better fork and shock it just needs to be valved for the riding you do not a big deal. Also was thinking about getting a Smart Carb( 36mil) what was your electron 36 or 38. Oh one more thing I was talking about to a bunch of guys all riding fuel injection bikes is if their battery goes dead their shit out of luck getting it going on the trail no bum starting it and even if they could install a kick start witch they cant it still wont start. Were the Beta has a place for a kick start to install and it will start with a completely dead battery. Simplicity is such a beautiful thing. 😂
@dnice5725
@dnice5725 9 дней назад
For your suspension, check out Richard Wilson at House of Horsepower. He’s in Oregon so closer to you than me. He did a great job on my and reasonably priced. I bought the Lectron billetron pro 38. Nice carb but I liked the stock feel better. If I was riding in elevation, I would put a smart carb on it. Maybe that’s what I’ll do down the line for the KTM‘s. You could buy a jumper to allow bump starting but who are we kidding, they start all of the time 😀🎃

Glad to see you went to 13 tooth front sprocket, I'm running a 12 up front and stock in the rear and love it for the tight single track. I ride out west in the mountains and everyone I ride with can't believe the torque this thing has. Was thinking about getting an RK TECH HEAD but maybe I dont really need it as this thing is plenty fast enough and its the torque I want anyways. I aways get people commenting on how beautiful the bike looks as KTM definitely doesn't look nearly as sharp. Keep the videos coming and I appreciate all the testing. I bought these plugs and their way less expensive NGK-BPR7EIX (4055)
@dnice5725
@dnice5725 9 дней назад
I do like the 13 tooth. The rk tek head would be perfect for higher elevation. It lights up the bike and you can pull a gear higher across the gearing. Good tip on the spark plug, no issues with it?

@dnice5725 10 дней назад

My bike is down this weekend.... So a bud lent me this 23' Beta 300RR for the day. The bike is stock except for protection parts. I thought the engine was amazing.... if anything it was a little too powerful for our New England terrain. Current ride is a 2023 BETA 250RR ,have jetted with a necj needle and it runs sweet, will chug single trails in 3rd gear nicely , I’m 72 kilos and zf suspension after 10 hours feels nice and plush and planted . Tyres are metzler super soft front and back , grip is on key. Last bike was a 2022 TE300i , great bike but to be honest power delivery felt like a on off switch, had to dull it down with gearing and short shift everywhere . Beta has been impressive to say the least, sure a race edition would have been nice , but the RR can hold its own , 250 is a sweet motor………

Regarding the necj needle, what elevation are you riding? Just curious for a baseline setting. I may try that needle to compare to the jd jetting needles.
