This Brother has it down to a science, so much independence in his hands, being able to separate his right hand keeping time and the left hand ✋ playing the patterns,if I could just get a fraction of his control of independence I would be eternally thankful.
3over2 and 2over3 perspectives with the second number being the perspective pulse you could use Play Piano for 3over2 and Play Something good for the 2over3 perspective. Finally someone I can talk to about this stuff and is interested! I’m gonna send this to Efrain. Cheers
This is great! I did the same thing with Rhythm Mnemonics for this! I made a while list of 4over3 and 3over2 and then combinations. Also backwards 4over3 and 3over2 to hear the pulse stringer from both perspectives. I like what you came up with! Pass the frickin’ coffee and some sugar. The other perspective could be Make Coffee Every Day/ With Sugar Please.
took a minute for the guitar to come to life but then its just a killer version by everyone the Keys are a big standout to me the drummer loves it and it shows amazing guys!!!!
I wish I would have known about this chap when I was in La Habana in 2014. What part of La Habana did he live when you were doing these videos? I was staying in Centro, on calle Neptuno y Industria, which is just a couple of blocks from El Capitolio.
@@AdamHay, if he was staying in La Casa De Concordia, he was just about 9 blocks from from I was staying. Calle Concordia is the next street over from Neptuno. I remember walking down it and being surprised on how much more trashy the street was compared to Neptuno.
Hi Jeffrey, thank you for your kind words. The drums are Yamaha Tour Custom from 2007. The snare is a Yamaha Elvin Jones with metal hoops (not the original wood hoops). The heads are Remo.
Hi, great to hear you're learning congas. The best thing is to go with a teacher in person. Unfortunately I can't recommend any books, though there are likely some great ones out there. Go with some of the renown music publishing (for instructional materials) companies like Hal Leonard, and from there, see if any of the giants of the instrument have done books. (in the video you commented on, by the way, I was just reading a melody written for what could have been played on lots of different kinds of hand drums). I hope that's a help and all the best.
