I was genuinely hesitant for years but there's some bangers for sure. Just like with most bands, you might have to poke around a few times before you find the album that's for you. Definitely recommend though.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE TRIVIUM!!! 🎶❤️🔥🤘🌹 I didn't know that was the backstory to this album... But these musicians are wickedly talented. I wouldn't change their sound for anything else. 🎶🎯🥰
@@tahitidutch8671 I absolutely agree with you about that!!!! I keep getting tidbits about them thrown into my algorithm for some reason, despite the fact that I have never liked their crappy music.
The fact that they haven't released a new album in 19 years and have been touring for the last 14 is why I refer to them as a Walking Dead Band. They are still shuffling around the world, but they are creatively dead. I've used this to refer to Rage Against The Machine as well. As they have basically done the same thing. It seems to be the singers in both those bands that are stopping any work on new material getting done.
I initially didn't like the change. I'd only heard still life through watershed. Recently went back and listened to MAYH and then went forward and listened to the last 4 albums. Loved all of it. So many good songs I was missing out on. Can't wait for the new record.
Unless Daron and Serj get out of their own way and grow up, and quit acting like John Lennon and Paul McCartney did, then no. Really think about it, in terms of parallels, Daron and Serj are the Paul McCartney and John Lennon of our generation. They’re too high on their own supply. Daron’s being a control freak and Serj is being a pretentious ass. So no. No, a new System of a Down album isn’t gonna happen. System is the whole reason I even became interested in political and global affairs when I was 12 or 13(I’m 31 now). I want nothing more than for them to make a new Album, imagine what kinds of songs they could make with the nearly 20 years of historical events and crazy societal shifts that have accrued since Hypnotize dropped. The music would be both moving, and absolutely hilarious. What’s even more crazy and really exemplifies how poignant System of a Down was, is how relevant their music is still to this day.
