This is my first video that i have watched of your channel and i seriously love what u are saying as i have found myself getting caught in this missing out trend keep making videos like this, it really helped me ❤❤❤❤
Hi Anna! I subscribed to your channel because of the project pan videos, but I love also watching book content, so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this one. I started Bel Ami by Guy de Maupassant yesteday, and I really like his writing so far
I've been using Kipling bags and backpacks for more than 25 years. I have this bag in the two bigger sizes, this one is too small. I love them, their quality is the best I have found in a bag, besides osprey.
I finished a Milano blush in Luminoso a year or so ago and I swear I had it for like 3-4 years and it was the only blush i used. Thankfully I’m a creature of habit and had no problem using it daily for that long but definitely got my moneys worth! The feeling of finishing it was euphoric 😂
I´m not really sure about this, but i think some compacts in that format are indeed for refill purpose, for vintage containers like the rimmel london one. That would explain the fragil packaging (no native english speaker, sorry for the mistakes!)
yes, I think back in the day this was true but now the pans are really glued on there and aren't easy to remove (I actually broke mine depotting it to the new compact...) so they're meant to be used in the original packaging. It's just really low quality because the product is cheap.
I don't have TikTok as I don't trust the content posted there in general. However, I do watch RU-vid and as a makeup lover I admit I got influenced many times and shopped items that ended up in the bin. At some point I started to realize that's unproductive and wanted to try a different view, so videos like yours are really helping a lot! Thank you for being so honest and for the tips you shared 👏💯
I accidentally started a project pan in August. I saw a journaling spread about ‘makeup logging’ so I did that, then I noticed how i valued quantity over quality within my makeup so then I discovered project pan.
It's so great to really make you aware of how much you use makeup and how long it takes to use up. It puts things into perspective and helps with not buying as often!
i unintentionally started a pan project and no buy year after getting overhwhelmed with the amount of makeup products i had. my collection is considerably smaller and it's still getting small as we speak, which i love because 1) i'm saving money 2) i'm aware of what i own 3) i don't waste time choosing what i'm gonna use. i have so many empties, i'm collecting the empty packagings to exchange for discount at my favorite makeup store. i'm gonna need a new foundation soon and it's a bit on the pricey side, so it's nice to save a little $$ :) i love watching your videos because you're very mindful of your choices. i have a blush that i don't really like, and i'm still using it because it was expensive and i can make it work, it doesn't make me ugly, i doesn't ruin my skin, it just isn't the most flattering shade, i'll keep using it, just won't rebuy it!
Thank you so much for this book review, Anna. I'm a massive viewer of book content on Twitter, RU-vid and Instagram and there are regular discussions about star ratings for books we hate. Large numbers of reviewers won't review books they hate and all reviews they post are four or five stars. Their argument is that, if they don't leave a review, assume they didn't like it. Personally, I tend to say if I don't like a book. The only difference in my views is that I tag in the author if I love it, but I don't tag them if I hate it. Seeing this balance here is fantastic. Thank you.
I’m not panning in any structured manner, meaning no progress shots or any ordered tracking, but I do make a point of using specific products in order to use them up eventually. Like I’m gravitating towards the blush on which I’ve already hit pan - to make the pan grow, to make the blush closer to being done. Same with the powder etc. Just satisfying to watch the products gradually disappear.
I’m the first one to say the old stuff is better…but I’ve never had a make up container break like that unless I hit it with a hammer or threw it at something
Loved your review and what’s in my bag. It made me’want to carry my beloved Kanken tomorrow ( poor thing hasn’t seen anything but my closet, as i have several bags I love to use). To get some padding on the straps, hou can get the shoulder pads. It helps a lot. I always carry them with me, even if they’re not on,just in case.
This is so true!! Maybe it is just me, but it seems like almost everything is not as good as it used to be. I live in the US and it seems like the quality of items has declined (or companies have chosen cheaper ways to make their products.) I wish the prices would decline too.😳
Well that’s bound to happen in a state living in the end stages of pure capitalism. Being fed that every slight regulation and worker and consumer protection is all "communism" and therefore inherently evil will lead you right… here. Into a world where the poor get even more poor being forced to buy the cheapest stuff wich can be put at higher and higher places because the few remaining companies push out any competition and you are stuck in that place because well… your company can also press you to work for less and less pay while they sack all the profits. It’s nice!
Its diffenetly not just you, its been happening everywhere. Old things were made to last long, the new things are made to last long enough to where you cant ask the store for a refund or a replacement. Which is why alot of older products are more lively. The old thinking process was " we should make them want to buy our stuff" the new mindset is "they are going to buy it anyways cause we are famous" thats why independent bussiness work looks so much more appealing now than mass produced products
I love watching ur videos sm❤ especially since u and i seem to have some similar preferences on beauty products. i love how ur collection is not just filled with super trendy products👍 i can see u r a conscious consumer and how u value quality over quantity🙌 i rarely buy minis but ur videos make me want to buy some😂
Kind of wish the rating would have been in sequential order. That way we can appreciate closure differences. Thank you for pointing out the closure differences. I think we intuitively perceived this but I haven’t seen anyone really highlight this.
Rare beauty blush Tips Putt one little dip on your cheeks and blend it with your finger in (trust the process) wet your beauty blender with fixing spray ( essence pixy catrice...) not too wet and blend the blush with the blender ❤❤❤❤
I watch RU-vid way too much, mainly beauty content but I don't have TikTok, and Instagram I use for different purposes. I like makeup however I'm not good at performing it, so my looks are simple, with exception to lips where I love wearing red lipstick. But my skin is sensitive and I have pigmentation so I forever try to find good base products, that's where RU-vid is coming handy. I watched hundreds of videos to help me with it because I can't afford try every single bottle of foundation or concealer out there. I leave in UK, you can't return makeup once opened, so it can be costly. I learned over time I'm not fan of drugstore makeup, almost everything is fragranced and loaded with nasty chemicals. I need to be very careful as many things irritate my skin. Best option for me is looking up on RU-vid for recommendations, then checking selected products websites and reviews, then if possible going to try product in store. 90%of the time I come back home disappointed on products hyped on RU-vid. I also like to watch declutters, that means that not products liked at first are worth buying.
Don’t throw that eyebrow gel before you try to comb your flyaways with it. it’s so good and doesn’t leave the hair stiff or greasy just use a little and you’re good
