@@Hiii-g8d depends if the laptop meets the requirements to run iRacing which can be found on the website. Also iRacing is subscription based game to play and cars and tracks also cost on top of it.

It can be expensive, my original PC was a prebuilt I got from Walmart for $400 in 2020, followed by the wheels which were $300. Subscription is $110 a year followed by buying the cars and tracks but I've gotten more than my money's worth.

What do you have for a router? Wireless connection or wired? I had issues in the spring that came out of the blue. Never an issue in almost 3 years. Was using an unmanaged switch with other stuff in it that connected to the iRacing computer. Got it wired directly into my Spectrum modem and haven't had any issues since.
Sorry it took 12hrs to respond looong day at work. I directly plug my Ethernet whenever im using iracing the problems didn't start occurring until the most recent update
