If you've just joined my channel let me introduce myself. My name's Laura and I'm an Aussie traveller, hiker, beach goer and adventure lover from North Coast NSW.
On my channel you'll find some of my favorite locations, adventures, reviews, tips and a bit on what I've been getting up to as I hike and solo travel my way around Australia.
Well done Laura, great attitude too. Re: cows, I've been up in the Swiss alps near the tops of mountains to find pastures, annoyed farmers and cows! One funny memory was the nice and relatively easy walk up Mt Pilatus near Luzern. I'd walked through many pastures on the way up which inevitably meant through heaps of cow shit. I promised myself a nice meal and beer at the top, knowing full well they had a couple of restaurants at the top. I sat in the restaurant, thrilled to be there being served by lovely staff.... Then I started to notice the smell of cow shit... it was really strong.....oh no! I checked my shoes [little Merrell Trail gloves] and they were caked in it, as were the tips of my hiking poles! Oh, well, the Swiss believe the smell of cow shit is good for you. One question: how did you manage power for your electronic devices?
As someone from New Zealand how do you just learn to ignore that there could be snakes anywhere you put your feet or sit down? I would love to do some hiking in Australia but all of my hiking has been in New Zealand where I never have to worry about wildlife. I feel like I just wouldn't be able to relax in Australia when something could kill me at any moment haha. it looks so beautiful though.
Hey 😊 I really enjoy your content, it almost feels like the viewers are there with you. Have you considered doing one of the multiday hikes in South Australia?
I climbed the wrong peak the one on the Right. It wasnt till i wanted to get down i realised . Too long in the bush walking. But a fantastic photo of a ferry going past.
Well done Laura, really well done. I used to watch your videos more often and loved them. Also I live a similar lifestyle in a different way now in Tassie. You are doing amazing stuff and live your life beautifully with intention. I wish you all the very best Laura, may you be successful. 💛🙏☺️, umesh :)
Great work Laura. Another top video of one of Australia's great walks. I always enjoy your work and understand the amount of effort you put into these videos Just keep going is my life moto😊😊😊
Congratulations great hike and great video , hopefully next time the eastern circuit section will be open as it’s probably the best part 👌 thanks again
Very inspiring that you did the walk yourself and in such an effortless way too :) You would make a great presenter on Getaway! Did you need to bring a personal beacon?
Hi Laura, heading to OT early April next year, this video is so honest about the conditions. Can I ask what layers and wet weather gear you wore during the day? Preparing for the worst, hoping for the best!

Thanks for documenting your journey. How did you find this track when compared to the Larapinta? Obvioulsy its a different climate, but how did it compare from a planning, logistics, camps, navigation etc. It would be good to get your insights.
Although you got to see Waterloo you unfortunately missed out on the best section, which, in my opinion , is Sealers Cove to Waterloo. You'll have to put it back in your list 😋
Thank you SO MUCH from the U.S.! I thought I would have to trade in my Hyundai Veloster for an SUV or even a Class B or C but your setup has inspired me! One question: have you ever considered an SUV tent or hatchback tent? Why or why not?
hello, would you recommend buying a car in australia, even though i am keen on doing a couple of long distance hikes? is it hard to find safe spots to leave your car for the duration of the hike? if you could go back, would you buy a car in aussie again? thanks and all the best, fabian
The "green tunnel" at 25:00 is Bossiaea aquifolium, aka 'waterbush'. Very common understorey species in the jarrah forest and very unpleasant to walk through after rain.
This was lovely to enjoy and thank you. Spending time like this with your parents is such a privilege for all of you. For many years, I camped and hiked with my parents and sister as a kid, and in later years with them and my own children now, right up until we lost dad last year. Mum and dad had countless great outdoor travels all over Aust and your joyful adventure brought back many wonderful memories. So, thank you - beautifully filmed and produced! Do you guys ever stop smiling?? Watching you all makes us very happy. Cheers and thanks from Sydney - Dave and family
This trail has been on my to-do list for a few years now - long journey from the UK though! It looks incredibly similar to the Arizona Trail, which I hiked (and loved) a few years ago. Thanks for sharing!
