High on the Mountain Top was incredible! I was picturing an epic Ireland landscape. I give it a 4 star since I don't know what is to come (otherwise maybe it would be 5 stars). I couldn't give the Dolly Parton singer song (song #2) a truely unbiased rating since I don't like country music.
very nice, thanks for sharing! your airstream mod is quite amazing! if you decide to automate, you might have a look at everlanders "project dumbo," in which they had used air pistons for remote actuation and stowage. linear actuators are also possible driving all-thread with a dc motor, which would require minimal engineering for a soft start and stop.
They need to do a updated June 2024 review. Because I just got it two days ago and it is NOT edible. Thus for sure if you think to try it keep your receipt in case you too find it to be so inedible and please return it.
Thanks I'm really interested in hearing what people think and I'm planning on releasing a lot of the non-religious stuff during the week and maybe weekends for more of my religious stuff but I'm going to get feedback and see what people think
Well it's been a couple years so far and doing great. I think my biggest issue is that the locking mechanism on the sliders isn't fully dependable so you have to find a way to make sure the panels don't slide out when in motion so I had to Jerry rig some ways to stop them from sliding and not depend on the sliders
@@JarvieDigital I appreciate you taking the time answer my question. I am going to try and build something similar now I know dust shouldn't be to big of a problem. 👍
@@renstillmann well if you are doing it then I shall offer my advice that I wish I had done. Invest the money and the time in doing actuated/motorized slider system. They would be locked in place, I wouldn't have to be on a ladder so much, I would use the hidden 2 panels so much more.
@@JarvieDigital That's actually what I am planning on doing. Thanks for the advice though :) only issue being is that my design requires 1300mm stroke actuators. Which I can't seem to find. I reached out to a company if they can provide such. I did find some from China but will try something else first. 👍
This is a great idea. And I've been looking for someone that has manufactured this. I want a 200watt per solar panel system. The box with the 3 panels on top of my MH. Enclosed/locked etc when travelling... then pull out panels (for each side), forming a 600w system when stationary. Can't find anything like it.
Great work! I’m designing something similar but lighter and more advanced. Certainly could use collaboration on my project. Are you still interested in upping your design? Hope so. Thanks
If you really want some traction, find some ai voice models trained on your guests, so we can listen to them in their voices! Even better when ai video can recreate them using the script that chat got spits out.
We built these for our rovers (automated fueling systems) in the oilfield. All we done to lock them in for travel was a hasp and the panels were flush with the outside.
I'm surprised given all the raving about Tillamook. My wallet is glad though. I just did a search and it appears Great Value is made by......BLUE BUNNY (or rather Wells Inc.)
oh ffs, dumb stuff. "shading" with your hand? and why are angles so hard to understand, you don't need empirical data to understand the simple trigonometry to describe what's going on .. watts per square meter and panel exposure
Years go by and nobody still figured out how to get Nikon colors from Sony raw files. The answer -- you can't, everything is different, even the CFA is different. To match the colors you need an AI processor that would be smart enough to remap the millions of colors depending on the pictures making guesses as to what the colors from another CFA would look like. Definitely you can't have one profile that magically turn Sony color vision into Nikon. Humans are better than AI, they have something between the ears we call brain. So can you manually do a good enough job? -- In most cases, yes, you can turn on your imagination and do a color surgery individual for every shooting situation.
The ‘skirting’ is Good to minimize FOD (foreign object & debris). None of the slides on the market in my exhaustive searching is (really) suited for outdoor exposure. However, the ‘downside’ is restricted airflow across panels … Hot Panels = No Bueno. The design has definitely inspired my Creativity (again). I’m doing 2x 500W panels on hightop van. Best option to Maximize roof real estate. NICE to have a Fabricator brother ! 😉
Hi Jarvie always attach panels with same voltage (+-5) and same Amps. Like sunpower had 48 V and 5 amps, and Trina 32 V and 9 Amps, different Volts and Current, in this case the volts lowest one will also reduce the efficiency of the panel with higher volts. But when you attached both sunpower Same brand almost had same volts and current produced higher efficinecy. 430+.
Hey I watched one of your videos where you set the ISO manually and I can't figure out how to take it off even when I adjust the ISO setting it keeps going back tO the initial setting. PLEASE HELP!
Love the idea of the slide out panels - we are looking for one which allows us to mount solar on a garden wall and retract when we want to enjoy the garden - happy to share photos ?
