Yes, using the thumb to play the 2 low strings, index on next and middle on highest string. Not really a picking pattern. Picking to fit around the melody.
Thanks. I don’t have tabs and it’s an Ohana baritone ukulele in a non-standard tuning (CGCD). I can’t remember the model, but I think I have a video review on it. I can see about doing a tutorial (if I can remember what I did!).
I connected my iPhone to the input playing a song ane connected a mic. The harmonies didnt sound right. I found a video on RU-vid of someone who used it for karaoke and it seemed to work for him. Im lucky to own one of these ukes without the pick up it is a fantastic ukulele which i love i really struggled to find one and was delighted when i did, I also have aNueNue moonbird and a koaloha which are excellent but this one gets more attention than them. I replaced the high g to a worth low g in fluorocarbon and it really sounds so good a highly recommended uke if you can get one, Thanks for your time putting the video together 🎼🎶🎵🤙🏼👍 John.
I am looking for a good sounding, durable and good value for money baritone ukulele, with and an EQ instrument to last me about 30 years and that will need not much modification within the price range of $400USD to $800USD excluding import taxes.I prefer the lower range of prices due to the additional costs of importing to where I am . Where I am there are not a lot of music shops and no services for repair of instruments. Where repair is needed the instrument will probably be need to be taken to a carpenter. I am told a solid instrument is more durable and easier to repair. From what I have seen these seem to good Flight Fireball EQ Ohana BK-35GCE Baritone Ukulele If you have any recommendations that would be appreciated
Thanks for the reply. I really liked the Ohana, but after I made the video the E string started going flat if I played it up the neck. It was only on that string and maybe just a problem with the uke I had. I’m not that familiar with Flight ukes, but heard they are good. I think Kala ukes sound good and seem well made. I would check out the solid cedar top and all Acacia baritone from the ukulele site. @@WorldUkulele yes, I grow up there but never took my tahitian lessons seriously as a kid, now I'm adult and full of regrets 😅 think to the subtile, it take a long time to but all my 2023 videos have subtiles 😊

Well SIR, first of all I ENVY your long fingers..as a 5 string picker for about 50 years now, not only Bluegrass, I sure could use that extra stretch ! As with many a Kingston Trio child I got a tenor guitar as well, playing it in open G. Snagged a 1961 Gretsch Duo - Jet TENOR from Mandolin Brothers years ago...they offered me DOUBLE price to buy it back a year later...but no sale. It has a "palm vibrator" (not a dirty thing..tee hee) that has a brass piece, riveted to the tailpiece that "bends" the notes as you push it. Do not know if you are aware of Soares'y guitars, Mike Soares of Long Island build them, a variety of tenors and some 8 string ones, double courses, resonator type. Acoustic with a lipstick mic. I have a 4 and 8 string from him.He has family in Portugal with a guitar factory. They send him the finished bodies and he adds the hardware. This makes them affordable. The 4 string came with a BLUE resonator cone...for some reason ? I also found a Gibson LG-3, custom built as an 8 string, double courses by Gibson, in the 60's on E bay a while back. Maybe for some mandola player ? I use light 12 string strings, with the octave ones and it rings ! Once again, thanx..you play smoothly. Jim Clark
