Just a regular middle age dude getting back into mountain biking after 10 years being away from the sport I love. The trails are calling but can my lungs keep up lol. Two kids a wife & a mortgage, yet we need to find the time to get out there. As my logo says "Out of Shape & in the Trails". Hit me up for rides or comments and watch me as I get in shape and get back on my MTB. Thanks for checking out my channel, like, subscribe & hit the notification bell.
It beats me that there is a demand for a video on how to put the fender. Don’t get me wrong. I just wonder that there are people out there that need instructions for that. No wonder they put don’t eat the package in some foods. Peace
Is there any chance of your forks denting the protruded portion of your tailgate? I’ve seen where guys were complaining that their tailgates were dented no matter what pad they used.
Yes, the holimont ski started offering lift access last year. It's a great place to ride. A bunch of us are going this Sunday to ride and race. Heading down with toogy Howser if you watch that channel.
@@JohnWilson-cy1ge yeah I was suppose to Quebec with a bunch of guys & Toogy last year. I actually think I know Toogy from years ago in the Jeep world lol. I have to get out and ride with him.
I have the Roscoe 9 and replaced my black decals with OD Green decals and it looks amazing. The only thing that sucks is bc it’s a hard tail I only have a fork. $30 for 2 decals I actually used and a bunch of extra decals I don’t need 🤷♂️
If you ever make it out this way again I highly suggest doing this trail on a Saturday... All of those rocks you climbed up at the beginning instantly become downhill on the Saturday direction 😉
The camo one is nice inwas looking at it today so tempted but like that white, green blue it's multicoloured it's nice to not sure on size though 58cm head would a medium be OK are the sizes pretty good n accurate? My.POC helmets are so heavy yournlike a bobble head
Thank you for watching & your comment. In this video I was using the GoPro 9, I am now using the GoPro 12 with max lens. I have to get back to those trails, they are awesome.
I think you need to add a spacer on the top of the stem and remove from the bottom. I found this online. Yes, you need a spacer above the stem clamp on a bicycle to allow the top cap to push down on the stem. The spacer should extend at least 3 millimeters above the clamp. If the stem or spacers are flush with or below the steer tube, it will be impossible to adjust the headset.
I apologize for my breathing, it's even heavier on my trail ride videos 😞 The DJI mic is too good it picks up everything! Thank you for watching and shaming my breathing, it is too heavy you are right 👍 I will make sure to breathe less (and heavy) during my next videos 😁
Too long video avoid burping you can edit that, so shorter video more focus on something specific for a shorter video and edit the burping , your video came to my screen because I was looking for FUEL EX 9.7 video I just acquired one
No worries I'll edit my burps and I am thinking about making my trail vids a little shorter. Thanks for the comments, any other suggestions for content?
The 3 is smaller and has less space for stuff. I also wanted more water to bring. If you don't need a big hip bag the 3 would be fine. Thanks for watching.
I don't see any type of device mounted to your bars or stem, so I'm curious to know how you go about using Trailforks. Do you just stop and bring your phone out when needed? Regardless, I 100% agree that it's a must when riding. Oh, what was the name of the saddle again? Sounds like it's worth looking into for my fat ass as well. 😆
Thanks for watching & your comment. I look at Trailforks first and kind of map out where I am going to go, then yeah I just stop every once in a while and see where the heck I am lol. The saddle is by Deity I did an unboxing here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BSlC24GOgnw.htmlsi=295mkp5MtL5ZVYVy
Thank you for your comment & for watching. Yup everything is race face. I am an old bastard and I grew up with race face so that's all I like to put on my bikes lol!
Not even close in color, lol. You'd think the 'kash' in kash money would be a nod to kashima coated fox components, yet the stem and grips are nowhere close. Those pedals look comparable though.
Ergon is a German company, despite being sent from the UK. I use Their grips and saddles. I think Ergon model „SMC Core Woman“ would be even more comfortable.
Thanks for the comment & correction 😀 I thought they were an English company as they were shipped from there. These saddles were a great price and I hope they are more comfortable for my ladies!
Hey bro! Cool videos and channel, funny enough I’m in the exact same position with returning to mtb after over 10 years. I’m happy for you that it’s turning into what it is! I live in Brampton Ontario so maybe one day we can hit a trail together! Happy trails brother keep making cool content and having fun on your bike!
Thanks for the comments! You're in a great spot in Brampton. Trails are so close to you. I just rode Copeland Forest and it was awesome. I am up for riding with you or anyone on here if they want to do a group ride! Just need to get back in riding shape, the trails kick my ass Saturday lol. MTB is one of the best things out there. Cheers!
@@ESBMTB oh brother I know what you mean about the trails kicking ass. I’ve only just picked up a bike this past Tuesday so I’m a handful of days in lol I’ll have to go check out Copeland forest! I’ll add it to my ever growing list spots to ride. Im hoping to at least get over to Heart lake in Brampton once the rain holds out. Do you have any suggestions Lee? :)
@@WillySpencee oh dude there are tons of great places all around southern Ontario! Guelph area is awesome but Collingwood and just north of you had great trails too. If you look at my trail rides playlist you can find a bunch of great rides that are not far from you.
@@ESBMTB awesome! Thanks man I will check out and watch your playlist tonight. I know Ontario is filled with trails and growing up in simcoe county was a bonus for riding mountain bikes, I just feel like I’ve been gone so long and the scene has changed so much over that time. I’m happy I’m over the hurdle of just trying to decide what to buy and now to just go ride
Good content, I follow you because I just bought the same bike (with Trek fest, I think is saved a 1'000 $ at least compared to the original price) so you made it easier for me to wrap the bike step by step, I feel the same with my first carbon bike, but i just hope this rap will survive a 2-3 years in the elements. because the price is outrages for what it is. You must stop breathing in your vids man, my wife came in to check if i was having a lady friend over in the garage :-) I am fighting the urge to pimp my ride with all the bronze gold 🙂 I'll keep it dark grey when possible 🦾
Thanks for the comment & sub! It's totally true about my breathing lol this DJI mic picks up everything... I have even edited my breathing out of videos 😁. Maybe it's a fat guy thing who knows but I will do my best in upcoming content. The bike is freaking awesome and the Ride wrap has held up pretty good! 🤞
Have you tried Linear Plus mode? Never seen anyone try it. Saw there's a mode called L+ I assume it's Linear Plus. Also have you tried linear? Is it the correction good enough? Or noticible distortion? Have you tried Lens mod 2.0 Linear mode? I want to represent the trails as accurately as possible. Currently I have a Gopro Hero 7 black with aftermarket no distortion lens. Which uses wide Fov only. But this camera can't be used in sub zero temps. So I'm considering hero 12.
How do the women's models differ from the men's models? Are they narrower? Wider? I can't tell from the video. Proportionally it looks the same. But is it? The men's models are too narrow for me, length wise I'm 43, as I got 27.5 cm feet, but they are 11cm wide, so even using size 44 they are a bit too narrow, but they are too long. Toe protection doesn't cover my toes, it's at the edge of toe tip. Same with Ride Concepts. I tried size Five Ten 45 by accident years ago it was way too big massifly too long and too loose. Don't remember it exactly. But few months ago I got Anamoly Ninja size 43 shoes which have a wider toe box. But ankle area rubs, but no problem with ankle braces anyway. But the know about this complaint. A bit stiff to walk in, but a few rides with walking and they are nice to walk in. Toe protection is superb, much better than any Five Ten shoes, a en stiffer and harder than Ride concepts, which is also better than anything Five ten has. Not quite work boots protection. But quite hard so I think they will protect my toes very well.
Thanks for the comments. The woman's shoe runs smaller than the male version. I have been using the etnies MTB shoes since last season and they're pretty good. I have a size 13 foot and wide. Thanks for watching.
@@ESBMTB Smaller in which way? Narrower? Less room above toes? Narrower ankle, heel area? Narrower and lower lace area? But smaller in anyway won't work for me. I suspected they were smaller in some way.
@@ESBMTB As I suspected, Good it works for some people. But I always struggles to find shoes that fit, and always had to size up.I basically need somewhere between 44 and 45 or maybe 45 width wise but 43 length wise. I saw Giro has one model only that is wider, but not as easy to get. I forgot the name. Anamoly is a new company, so not many options yet, and some kinks to sort out. But finally a wider toe box.
I have yet to use it. I'll do a review vid midway or at the end of this season. It does look like I'll still have a ton of room even with the bladder full. This thing is huge lol. Thanks for watching & your comment.
I have been riding with the Seral 7 for over a year now. The one thing that I found with the hip pack style bladder would tend to pull up when the water level is low. So when you need it most the water shifts away from the tube. I made a small loop of 550 cord and put it up through the little hole in the bottom of the bladder pouch, then when I put the full bladder in I just run the hose through that loop. This holds the bladder tube in place even when the bladder is empty. The other issue I have is the zippers need to be kept clean, this is really an issue with anything that you are getting sweaty/muddy, but mine have seized up a bit when I neglect them. You mentioned people complaining about the magnet for the hose. The biggest tip I would say is that if you have it coming off, try twisting the magnet to a better orientation on the hose. The hose has its own twist and if you have it a little off on the alignment it can come off. But once you get the correct orientation it is rock solid, and you learn to find the general location pretty quick when riding.
Thanks for watching and your comment. Unfortunately no this stem is for 35 mm handlebars. There was a great deal on Turbine handlebars on race face $42 and I grabbed one for my wife's bike.
It's a good spot eh! Honestly I just drove down the street because the car park was completely full lol. I am not sure if the street name. Thanks for watching & commenting
I literally just bought same pedals and same colour for my wife’s new bike recently. Also got her matching one up purple grips. They’ve been great after a couple rides so far.
