@MarkJenkins-t7y there are a lot of factors that go into if nems can be in a new tank or not. I will cover everything you need to know in the coming videos. I've had this exact setup for about 3 years and I set it up 3 years ago with nothing but anemones and they lived in here for almost two years before I added them to a 40g breeder. Anemones and mushrooms are sister corals in a sense so if you have nitrate and phosphate in the beginning, they will be just fine. You just need to test with good test kits.
@ I’m not talking about you. You made the video for people Setting up new tanks. I wouldn’t recommend anemones to anyone setting up their first tank was my logic behind my comment, sorry.
@MarkJenkins-t7y I absolutely would not recommend nems to new reefers with new tanks either. It can be done though and there are some battles that pop up along the way, but that's why I will be covering and taking the channel along for the ride. I will be videoing any, and all obstacles that come with a new tank and how you can get around those obstacles from my personal experiences over the years. Everyone reefs differently and there is no right way. There are millions of things you can do to end up with the same outcome and I hope my videos can show the hobby and hobbyist that.
@Sonny__b well thank you for your service! Is there anything in particular that you would like covered in a future video or are you just looking forward to watching the studio and content grow?
Takes a lot of courage to start something like this, good luck on your journey. I look forward to watching everything grow and know I can’t wait to set up my first salt water tank with you!
@ColtinBryant thanks brotha, you will learn a lot if you watch and we will definitely get you setup for long term success on your reef tank journey. Thank you for the support man.

The fish in the ocean are exposed to the exact same colors as the corals. They are just fine under blue light. I run the David Saxby schedule in the Aquailluminations signature series which does have whites in during the day. The morning and night are mostly blue. You can download on the internet and run that if you would like to give it a try.
It wouldn't hurt to do an acclimation. I never do but I run very good nutrient export so if I start to see algae I just bump up my lights in the refugium and bump the skimmer up until the tank catches up to the new light cycle.
What are your typical parameters for your water? My tank is fairly matured but LPS don't do well at all. The softies are fine though. The water parameters are spot on.
You can download it by visiting aquailluminatiins.com and going to the signature series schedule and download the David Saxby schedule. Thats what I use.
These lights are great and great color pop but what stops me from getting them is having t mount so high! If I were to mount at 8 inches I would have insane hot spots right?
Not necessarily, you would just have to dial the lights in on the app. Sorry for the ridiculously long wait. I just saw this comment somehow. I do apologize.
Great info, was on the fence about getting these lights but they look great and they're obviously working for you! Woulda been better filming horizontally though lol
What caused the crash. I had a crazy salinity drop down to 1019 and I also had an amonia spike. I think the spike was before the salinity and I assumed the spike was from taking all my live rock out of my 10 gallon to clean the food that were were throwing in trying to get a picky fish to eat. I did that 3 times in a 4 or 5 day span. I also added some xtra sand. I think my corals were in that salinity for about 10 days. I upped i in a 2 day span which might have been to fast but they were showing signs of distress.I have skin coming of 2 of them but my dumb ass let salt hit one and the other I sat in the sand bed with no frag post so it sunk down a little and there was a head that I guess was about half in the sand. Both are duncans! My favorite corals too! My other corals arent looking good though, like acan shriveling up and wont eat, I can see the skeleton and blasto flat and shrivled. I have about 6 zoas and only a few will open and not all the way, a galaxea died. or lost its flesh. Is this all a tank crash? Thats what someone said on reef 2 reef. I sure hope they make it
I'm not, I could of avoided it by prepping better. He will come to my house one summer when he gets into high school and do all my yard work to pay back what he did 😂🤣
Brother I have a problem with 32..1 working but 2nd one just showing red & green light:(? Not working why? & how to fix it even not showing in wifi etc 🥵😡
is there a lot of noise from hydra 32? I have an aquarium in the bedroom and it is important for me that the light is quiet. Does the fan run continuously?
Great vid I found the start of your review of the polyp lab colors on central Florida reefing community had to sub to help out a local fl man lol happy that your tank bounced back
Mr Reef HD I caught that later on in your clip haha, thanks for that, you must use a filter or lense to make the colours pop as much as they do on camera ??? If not, well top job regardless bro 👌🏽
Ok wow took me for ever.. phone wont let me login to you tube... but anyways here is my comment hop fully i win now... by the way Great video and send a link to buy them lights
