@@HookLineSinger in my explanation, I neglected to mention setting the turret to have the true zero be 100, but installing the turret and fastening it to the 200 notch.
@@DYLANANDRE Sorry, I’m not really following you. They’re meant to be set to zero at 100 and the turret locked down there. Then 2 is 200, 3 is 300, etc. Anything inside 100 is going to be a little high, but never more than an inch or so on most cartridges.
@@HookLineSinger my apologies. Basically, if the rifle is zeroed at 100 yards, and the turret is placed correctly at the “1” notch. My question is, with the gun still zeroed at 100, and the turret is removed and then placed at the “2” notch and fastened, can you then turn the dial backwards to the “1”, which with the modified turret position, be at point blank range?
@@HookLineSinger I’ll just have to experiment with it. I believe the stopping mechanism is a part of the CD cap so that it can’t be turned below 1. But if it’s fastened at 2, with the rifles zero being 100 yards, it should allow for the cd cap to be turn below 2 all the way to 1, and in the above example, 1 being point blank. Turning it to back to the 1.5 notch should be 50 yards. That’s the theory at least lol
Also, a garage mounted safe is much easier to remove from the property, even if it’s anchored. Back a truck in and wrap a chain around it. Gone in seconds

I've made a couple of errors in buying a safe. I didn't do enough research regarding various security levels, I opted for a dial and I have diminished visual acuity, and I think I'd like to make a platform to raise it up to eye level but it weighs 240 pounds. Not like buying a lawnmower!
I have a Liberty safe that I allowed to get soaking wet. I literally left it face-up outside in the rain. It has a digital, push-button, electronic lock. Recently, when I entered the code, I could hear the mechanism functioning but the handle wouldn't turn. I decided to put a pipe on one of the spokes to get more leverage and now the handle just turns freely. I've asked some local locksmiths about this but they are no help. Any thoughts?

Mine is installed in my kids’ closet. I reinforced the floor with 1/4” steel and welded nuts for the bolts to thread into. Reason being, if its a home invasion, im only steps away from my arms, and if we’re away, the top floor is monitored by the alarm company in 2 different ways (doors and motion) not just 1 like the basement (doors only).

If you are worry about humidity, flooding, and drilling into your concrete rebar. 1. Install next to interior walls. 2. Pour a concrete slab area at least 4-6 inches in height and enough area to cover safe. (Try to pour some close by a corner wall and directly on top of existing concrete to bond more to house foundation also watch a tutorial on how to bond existing concrete to new concrete) Drill concrete anchors for the safe to anchor on slab. Lay a nice thick sheet of plastic on top of slab 3. Put a hot rod dehumidifier inside safe. Use a hygrometer to keep moisture between 45 and 55%. Add a whole house dehumidifier if basement gets too humid.

Just so you know sound travels faster and louder in snow so maybe that’s why that shot sounded so awfully loud. Either that or Hoyt makes loud bows. I wouldn’t know about Hoyt I shoot PSE.

I noticed on mine that when I moved the limb stops back to farthest setting that it gave a little more cushion on back wall and relieved the agressiveness of it wanting to go. Which made it more comfortable and relaxed at full draw
