Greetings, @tubularblonde! I'm Kathrin Korngold, EWK's granddaughter. Very pleased to know you love DTS. I grew up in Toluca Lake -- maybe we were quasi-neighbors?
Bronislaw Kaper and Miklos Rozsa were customers of my step-father's, in Beverly Hills. He loved talking with them about their music. He also chatted with Gregor Piatigorsky, who really made him laugh a lot. Great Stories! I'm so glad you've been working with these artists' music! It's wonderful!
I am at a lost for words, I have just discovered Juhi Bansals music and I can't believe how absolutely sincere, original, technical, creative, and beautiful it is.
What a brilliant performance!!! I am so excited to have discovered this work and composer today!!! Exudes joy. I think this Americana style is as relevant today as it was in the mid-20th century. With our country so divided, this exuberant American sound is a welcome respite!!! I am sure to revisit this performance many more times. BRAVO😀
Quite lovely. Such expressive playing from both of you. A wonderful choice of piece. It’s great to hear two sensitive musicians play with each other. Thank you!
Hello to my dear first cello teacher and the one that helped me become the musician I am today 💙. I studied with Anne 20 years ago and seeing this reminds me how lucky I am to have had her as my teacher because before any big name schools and big name teacher comes the local musicians in ones community that help shape the cultural soul of their neighbors through the monumental task of teaching the arts 💛. Now as an early music specialist, hearing this piece resonates deeply with my humble public school beginnings ~ from the beginning simplicity of the ciaccona chord progression to the complexity that comes with letting that simplicity bloom freely ~ the purity from which the soul can develop❤️. Thank you Anne.
