Thanks for the video full of wealthy detailed info. However, I’d like to know the advantages of Square machine vs global payment. I’m new in business, I need to know which one to use. Thanks
Hi there! Global Payments is not a processor that we would recommend to a small business. They're expensive, especially for low-volume merchants, and require a long-term contract with an early termination fee and automatic renewal clause. By contrast, Square is free to use with no contract, and its flat-rate pricing is cost effective for new, low-volume businesses. Global Payments would only make sense for very large businesses and even with a large business there are better options out there. We hope this helps!
Hi dear, Kindly make video of twin book pos software, its completely free and i am using since last 1 year at my restaurant soi want to suggest that people should have to use this software😀 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vr30oraaRSM.htmlsi=DZ5UQsEeHAVQFf26
This is a great overview for the most part. However it’s wrong to say that square might not be a good fit for folks that are doing 250k more, this may have been the case in 2015, but come on… I mean Square processes millions of dollars for publicly traded companies and it’s pos solutions are really good for single and multi-location businesses that are doing 5-10m+ on a per locations basis.
Hey there! We appreciate the feedback. You can certainly still use Square if you're a higher volume seller and may be able to negotiate favorable custom rates but, generally speaking, you're likely able to find a cheaper processor elsewhere once you reach a high level of sales. Thanks for stopping by! 😊
Great video! Thank you. I switched recently to QBO from Desktop. I LOVE the automation of expenses and deposits. I am HORRIBLE at staying on top of that. I LOVE that QBO does it for me!

I'm hoping you can help. I am wanting to personalize my background videos for a fee. I need a platform for ordering, accepting payment etc. I also need a way to transfer the files to customers which will be 30 minute downloadable video files. Do you have a recommendation on any of these services? I did try to set up a shop on Shopify at one point. I found it entirely complicated but I know it gets a lot of use. Is it me or do others tend to find Shopify difficult to navigate? I think the biggest hurdle is transfer of files. It would be a dream if one service did it all. Any input would be super helpful...
Hi there! Shopify really does sound like your best bet here to meet your requirements. If you find the platform too complicated you should see if Square is more intuitive for you. You could also check out Wix, which has some basic POS functionality. We hope this helps! 💪
@@MerchantMaverick Thank you for your recommendations. They are very helpful! I have a Wix account. I had no idea they had POS options. I will for sure check it out. Thank you!
High-risk merchants are businesses that financial institutions and payment processors consider likely to fail, often because the business's industry has a high risk of chargebacks or fraud. Some examples are gambling, adult entertainment, cannabis, and international shipping. To determine if your business is considered high-risk, visit our blog post. We hope this helps! www.merchantmaverick.com/high-risk-business-company-industry/
So unfortunately parts of this are no longer valid, they did an update that made adding Team Members way worse. Now you have to add them with a bunch of extra permissions and PIN numbers for the POS and Time Cards even if you aren't using them, plus they have access to other info you might not want, and only then can you say if someone is a W2 or 1099. Then at the end you can remove all those permissions but it gives you a message that your team member isn't complete. Clearly the people who ordered these changes don't actually use it, because it's way worse now than it was in this video.

TLDR: Choosing the right invoicing software for your business is essential, and there are several options available with different features, pricing, and capabilities to consider. 00:00 💸 Invoicing software is essential for getting paid, and the best options are feature-rich, easy to use, mobile-friendly, and affordable. 00:39 💡 FreshBooks is great for small businesses, offering three pricing tiers and excellent customer service, with the Lite plan being best for freelancers or microbusinesses with 5 or fewer customers. 01:13 💡 Square Invoices is ideal for product-based businesses, offering a free and easy way to send invoices on the go. 01:55 💡 Invoice2go is a good option for those who prefer using their smartphone for invoicing, but it lacks project management features and advanced capabilities. 02:40 💡 Zoho Invoice is the best overall invoicing software for small businesses, offering advanced bookkeeping and accounting features, great automations, and international invoicing, with a free version available for budget-conscious business owners. 03:15 💼 Create estimates, track time and expenses, manage contacts, and create projects with this program, but for extensive inventory tracking, look elsewhere; Invoice Ninja offers a free invoicing option for small businesses, but the Forever Free plan includes Invoice Ninja branding on invoices. 03:53 💡 Invoice Ninja and Bill.com are top picks for businesses needing invoicing and billing software, with Invoice Ninja offering paid plans for more features and users, and Bill.com providing a simple solution for managing bills and invoices. 04:43 💡 Choose the right invoicing software by comparing pricing, features, and other factors, with options like Harvest being ideal for service-based and project-based businesses.
Choosing between QuickBooks and Square depends on your business needs. For seamless invoicing alongside your choice, tools like InvoiceBerry offer simplicity and efficiency, ensuring smooth financial management.

Hey, Ron! QuickBooks offers support for its Desktop products for three years. After this time, users will need to upgrade to continue to use certain features, including eInvoice and payment processing. Live tech support, updates, payroll, online banking, and other services will also be unavailable without an upgrade. Check out QuickBooks Desktop's Service Discontinuation Policy (quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/help-article/feature-preferences/quic[…]-desktop-service-discontinuation-policy/L17cXxlie_US_en_US) for more details. @@MerchantMaverick I guess ill have to switch to online version and hope there is enough security in place. Ive already had several bank accounts hacked, so im not really comfortable keeping my important info in the cloud.
Hey, Marcey! If you can afford it, Revel is a great restaurant POS that can also handle complex inventory. Revel will have everything you need in a POS and probably quite a bit more, but if you're looking for a more affordable system, you might want to go with Clover as their system is also designed for both restaurants and retail establishments. We encourage you to check out both our Revel & Clover reviews to make an informed decision for your business needs. We'll link them below. We hope this helps! www.merchantmaverick.com/reviews/revel-systems-review/ www.merchantmaverick.com/reviews/clover-pos-system-review/
Can a merchant use their own company credit card at their own company? Can a person that owns two companies use a corporate card from company A for “purchases” to their own company B?
Hey! Although it might be acceptable if they are genuinely two distinct businesses, we wouldn't recommend pursuing this due to ethical concerns. It's important to be cautious, especially considering their legal structure. Best of luck!
Hi there! Customers can buy products by visiting your store through its URL or through your social media accounts. Just like with any other online store, customers would add a product to their cart and will then proceed to a checkout screen.
Square steals. We are a new business about to launch literally in two months. We opened a Square banking and wanted to use it for all of our business banking needs, because of its perceived ease of use and options, how it was explained to us on the phone before. How wrong were we... Yesterday we wanted to transfer OUR (not Square transaction generated money) into our account, immediately we encountered a bit of a problem and my partner, thank god, decided to just transfer $5 to test. That went through. Then we decided to transfer more and we were greeted with a big stop sign screen, and then an email that our account is in review. This is fine, happens all the time. Today I call and a lady on the other end says not to worry and that the account will be unblocked within a few hours. An hour later we get an email stating that our account is deactivated and that they will hold the money that we have there for 90! days. Thank god it was only $5, I cannot even fathom what would we do if we transferred more. Most likely it would bury the business since it is very time sensitive and on a tight schedule. So I call again, and the guy tells me that it is over, my account is done, they essentially stole that $5 (LOL), and, by the way, he would appreciate if we would cancel the banking account with them right now. Amazing! I wonder how other companies do business with them if they can arbitrarily hold the funds for the fun of it, how can you operate and rely on someone like that to handle your money. And again, it was our money, not transaction generated money. Do not use them guys, nightmare fuel. #square
what if i have a new business, with no transactions. I have the website, products. Which one of these will give me highest likelihood of accepting my business? I just want echecks, no need for the CCs
Hey! We would recommend trying PaymentCloud since they specialize in placing high-risk businesses, including businesses that have difficulty getting approved with other high-risk processors. When filling out the PaymentCloud application, new businesses like yours can submit three months of personal bank statements instead of business bank statements. To learn more about PaymentCloud, check out our review. Best of luck! www.merchantmaverick.com/reviews/paymentcloud-review/
