I started this channel for a few reasons. The major reason is I have fond memories of playing some really good games as a kid, but sadly many of these games have become forgotten in this fast paced age we live in. Most game channels you find on RU-vid are tailored to whats new or popular, but the great games of the past are just ignored. I want to bring these dusty gems back so they can be appreciated as much now as they were when they were first released or at least able to be played when a game missing its rules is found in Grandma's attic or basement. This channel is home to the lost, obscure, or just plain forgotten about games of our past.
My "How to Play and Review" videos will be posted every Sunday Evening from March to November each year, and may have an extra episode added during my off cycle. Please check out my full game collection in the link below, stay tuned for future projects, and as always have a great gaming day!
I don't have the Sci-fi version. But the artillery has piqued my interest. I will have to take a look at it. Thank you for watching and bringing the variant to my attention. Cheers!
I'm sorry you didn't like the video. I don't hide that I read the rules in all of my videos. I created this channel for people who have lost the rules or just can't read the small print that on said rules. I do appreciate the feedback. Cheers!
Banning a symbol really is ridiculous. The hammer & sickle is still ubiquitous and it's not like it's ever prompted anyone to try to recreate the Holodomor.
It still falls under the de-Nazification laws that are still on the books in Germany. I think the publisher could have put more thought into it since the laws have been in place since 1945. Thanks for watching. Cheers!
A few hints to keep this game nice that i did. Take some crazy glue and glue the tracks together and to.the hull. I left.the turrets unglued so i can point them ( like a kid lol). I laminated the tank numbers and fit them to the slot in the tank and glued them in. I cut some high density foam out to fit in each parts tray, cut to fit each tank, ect..and a square hole to put the anti tank guns into. The flags and pegs i put into a small parts ziplok bag. Worked.out pretty nice and should prevent any further parts vanishing or damage to the long tank gun barrells
Awesome. I had this game as a kid and loved it. Of course kids don't take care of stuff so who even knows what became of it. I love the detail. The panther tank has always been my favorite war machine. I recently found one in real good condition with a few pieces missing. Ordered the missing pieces from eBay except for the flags. Can't get anyone to throw the flags I need in an envelope and send them to me for a few bucks. I need 3 tan and 2 green flags. I have a spare tan hull and a tan female tank track to someone that will trade for flags or you can buy them for a small fee. Happy gaming folks. Living my 2nd childhood over here lol.
Well, it just so happens I have a parts copy in storage and have the flags you're looking for. Would be happy to mail them to you. Hit up my e-mail and we can work out the details. I also played the heck out of this game as a kid, and I agree it is a great game. Thanks for watching. Cheers!
I think because the commercial was full of puppets murdering each other that is why it was burned into my memory. Traumatic Commercial. LOL. Thanks for watching. Cheers!
My family had this game back in the day. I'd say it was not a good game, nor an interesting game. It was published (or maybe promoted) by Standard Oil of New Jersey, which used the name Esso in much of the US and most other countries, (renamed Exxon a few years later) to promote the idea of oil from Alaska. I'm not sure, but the game may have been sold at Esso gas stations. The tiger on the front of the box was Esso's mascot at the time - "Put a tiger in your tank!" I think your rating of 3 or 4 is overly generous.
