Great discussion. My only concern is that they should delve into the idea of death as being bad before and after existence. There is a significant difference between non-existence before existence and the contemplation of nonexistence if you exist.

People who want to have children, will have children. Many children even. Those who don’t, don’t have to. To each their own. What’s the actual problem with that?
i definitely want kids and i agree with a lot of David’s thinking here, but I appreciate your perspective and i hadnt thought about the inherent narcissism of valuing your children above all. but i think this is a natural form of narcissism. and i think it implies that David does his best to give his children happy lives that are worth living. that being said, it is wrong to judge anyone for deciding they dont want kids, or to think lesser of them for it
I had no idea who that David Hanson was, but the moment this pompous twat said he was a millionaire, I immediately just rolled my eyes. Like you said, all the rhetoric is about HOW to have children not WHY it is a good/bad idea to do so. I'm sure it must provide a lot of solace to the single mother who has to work 3 jobs just to feed her children that this pampared egomaciac who can't see past his own little world to think about the sheer costs (not just financial, but sheer logistical, macro worldly cost) involved with bringing life into the world. He talks about this issue with absolutely no sense of quality, just quantity. "Hey....you've got functioning genitals? Find someone else who has them too and create LIFE!!" Don't give it a second thought. It is literally the thought process that the characters of the movie "Idiocracy" used.
lol. We don't need an argument for natalism. You guys are by definition axiomatically the anus of ideologies. Quite literally, you could prove yourself 100% morally correct (you can't do that but bear with me) and the correct response would be "Fuck morality". You cannot argue a species to willingly extinct themselves. That's just not how reality fundamentally operates.
WOW that first video was insufferable. The hosts provide absolutely nothing to the conversation, except being horrible hype men by pretending to laugh and agree, and the chat was very easy to win over with some horrible arguments. Honestly, the internet is full of stupid people, telling other stupid people, stupid things. You have to sort through a horde of trash to find somethign worth listening to, and even when you do, you have to wade through the trash that constantly resists the person speaking something of value, focing the person whos speaking some truth and logic to be on the defensive, because there is a wave of insufferable mental rejects who constantly say the same idiotic talking points. Cant stand it some times. Not to mention, obviosuly the mental rejects are the popular ones, because most people are mental rejects. If theres any reason to be an anti-natalist, this is it.
