@@nicksimmons723 In 2014 Germany banned sales of guns to the us. Thats because the US gave german Sig Sauer made guns to Colombia. According to German law weapons manufacturers are not allowed to sell to countries that sell or gives weapons to countries witch are in armed conflict. Colombia is with the farc and so on. Thats when the "US rumors" said that the master shops where discontinued. They kept producing the finer rifles and pistols and sold to Europe and the rest of the world. But in 2020 sig decided not to continue the Master shop in Germany and to focus on selling 600$ barrels and 50$ magazines instead. The last finer pistols where made just 6 month ago.
Oh my dear God !!!! I own quite a collection of firearms, including a lot of different SIG models, but I would sell ALL of them (well, maybe not all) for a 226 X-5 Mastershop model !!!! If these are in fact still available, you're damn right I'm gonna start making some moves so that I could acquire one !!!!!
We are on the same page ;-) But you have to be fast! Sig Sauer Germany is now history. Very few dealers still have a small variety of Mastershop pistols in stock and prices increase from week to week. If you are located in the US, please contact MMB Imports
LDC II is not a X-Series pistol, so it is difficult to compare. LDC II is also very accurate but only with 4.4" an 4.9" barrel availiable. LDC II is only a little comparable to P226 X-Five Allround, because the Allround also have a SA/DA trigger. For sure X-Five is the better pistol. All other german made X-Series pistols have a SAO trigger.
@@bhsigsauerspecialists8229 Thanks. What about the LDC2 Mastershop ? How does that compare? Is this one fully handmade or does it just have the mastershop barrel from the X5 added?

You can use regular "off the shelf" factory ammo. In the past Sig Sauer Germany test-fired MagTech ammo, now they use GECO ammo. We never had problems with any factory ammo. 9mm we use 124grain round-nose FMJ ammo, .45 (P220 X-Six only!) we use 230grain round-nose FMJ
You are right, less weight due skeleton milling. All P226 X-Six (enhanced X-Series) are the "same". They differ only in external parts such as grip, trigger-shape (trigger "system" is the same in every variation), take-down-lever....
Soooooo these are still available? I was of the understanding they aren't being made anymore. Or aren't imported to the U.S. anymore. Hopefully I'm wrong. This is one of my unicorn guns. Maybe some day!
Yes still available. Still manufactured in Eckernfoerde Germany by Sig Sauer. All these guns have been and will be imported into U.S. Maybe not by Sig Sauer USA but from several other companys like MMBI (mmbimports.com). Don't believe all the rumors posted in US forums :-) All weapons shown in the video can be in the USA in less than 8 weeks.
This is the very pinnacle of guns, specifically for WA1500 competition. However, they are very fragile..extractors give a lot of problems breaking and the standard 3 position rear sight is terrible..there is a little bar in the sight mechanism that falls out when you adjust the sight which is very small. It’s happened to 3 of my shooting buddies, 2 of them changed to aristocrat sight spending another £500 on an already expensive gun and the 3rd guy needs a new rear sight as they don’t sell the little bar separate and Sig wouldn’t stand over the faulty product. They wanted £300 for a new rear sight but thankfully the UK importers Edgar Brothers stood over the guarantee and covered the cost of the rear sight for him. They are a high maintenance performance machine and will shoot amazing groups but be aware of these issues before you buy and don’t expect Sig to stand over any issues.
Thank you for your detailed comment. Over the years we have sold many X-Six with Sig Sauer 3-position-sight and we can not share your experience. Extractors should withstand at least 10.000 - 15.000 rounds. I´ve replaced mine after 40.000 rounds and it was still working. Of course there can be differences in material from time to time. Anyway it's nice to read that you're convinced of the pistol.
I’m blessed to have a x6 PPC master shop and a x5 and x6 SuperMatch, I have a spare extractor and haven’t had to replace it. It’s like owning an AMG Mercedes, it needs to be properly serviced and maintained with the occasional part to be replaced. It’s just sometimes extremely hard to find the appropriate parts. Otherwise you buy a CZ shadow which is like a Volkswagen haha
Nice info on the guns. Like comment before it would be also nice to see the possible attachments and upgrades. I am joining the range around new year time and P226 X-Six is the one I will go for most likely. Maybe go to your store since you have all selection.

@@cyrilmercer3925 The LDC II Mastershop is not a regular catalog model. It´s build by Sig Sauer Mastershop with B&H specs. You will not find it somewhere else. We can export this pistol to Norway by airfreight.
That is a ingenious sight indeed! Never seen one of those in modern guns, great!! The Scandic version is just amazing, maybe it is because I´m from Sweden it appeals specially to me. That chrome one is eye candy as well! Well done Sig!!!!
