I love Julie Andrews. I wonder if she watches any of her musical movies that she sings since her throat surgery. Considering she can't sing now, it can't be easy for her.
Bless Mr Frost selecting his words so that Dame Julie Andrews is not put in a difficult situation answering delicate questions re her life and icon career although we know Dame Julie Andrews has the British strength and beauty of an English Rose. Wonderful interview bless Dame Julie Andrews always🤩
It's hard to believe that the BBC actually thought a ventriloquist was a suitable programme for the radio. It's about as sensible as Enrico Caruso making a silent movie.
I remember listening to this on my home made crystal set.I was 14 at the time.I disgised the aerial so well no one else in the dorm knew it was there.Happy days,--I’m coming up to 88 now .
With all the credentials she possesses - breathtaking beautiful face to behold, angelic voice, humility, generosity, extra ordinary talent in singing, acting, dancing, kindness, pure, class and elegance, great mother, great wife, great human being to others and the cut-glass accent of her British-ness is very pleasant to listen to - she is a complete package! She is indeed one of the greatest human-being ever stepped in the history of our humanity and probably the last of the great broads. There will be no one ever who will take after her footstep. Do you know one? Tell me who? It’s like half of the 20th century was her domination. Even up to the first 1st part of the 21st century she was still active. She has set the bar with that very high and class standard that no one can ever dare to challenge. She is probably the best. Dame Julie Andrews was born for Mary Poppins and SOM, no one else. They're destined for her. She is full of life.
CNN, I love the interviewer, very inspiring, and very positive, Heaven sent. Absolutely amazing, interview. Keep on doing it. the interview was absolutely constructive, and the conversation was absolutely amazing. I love it with my soul, not just my heart. Adorable I think, I adored Julie Andrew, that I became like her, hhhhhhh, I love my idol movie mom so much. i lost my singing voice at age 31, but I discovered so many new things. Such as... I discover different ranges in singing and practiced singing technique and breathing, also, I appreciate differences in voices broken down, and other things to enjoy, like work, school, and other passions, above all that, I AM VERY CURIOSITY as YOU. hhhhhhh, ( Hi Mom, hhhh) I love you always,
I remember having heard J.A.'s rendition of "The Blue Danube" earlier on RU-vid. In those days she was a lyric/coloratura soprano, and a very fine one at that! However, I think she was wise not to pursue a career in opera; that medium would no doubt have been too much for her.
I was 3 when this episode aired on the radio, and some of my earliest memories are of listening to this show. There were all manner of people on it, who were then unknowns, from what I heard Peter Brough wanted to give comedy hopefuls a break on the show.
