i realize this is a ridiculous question- since each amp sounded good....what did these amps get traded out of your collection for? meaning what did you replace them with?
In this instance I kept the SB instead of the JEL mainly because the Jake ch 2 was not very inspiring. The order of them all coming and going is a blur now
@@cragginshred Makes sense, Now that you said it; that the amp builder model may give more of a tone variety versus a signature amp, thanks for the reply
100% disagree. All of the "influencers" who add IR's thru their DAW's color the tone and it will never sound the same when you buy it. You are not wrong that my room has a lot of foam has no natural reverb. However, the point of using the camera on the iphone is that you hear exactly the tone I dial in and ALL the comments agree this is what they want.
thank you for making this video! Really tough to choose but as a Jake E Lee fan and love the red color the JEL seems to be a winner for me. Good to hear the actual in room natural tones of the amps! Love both but the JEL wins for me. 20w is plenty loud for gigs.
Sounds and looks great. I'm interested in one of these, how do you think they compare to something like the current MIM Charvels? It'd be a replacing my Charvel Henrik that I've modified a lot and generally like but I've been really curious about the Luxxtones but can't find one to try...
I cannot try any guitars either. Buy one with a return option. I will add they are 10x better that the mim Charvels -I own a Satchel and the frets suck. The neck on the Luxx is AMAZING!!! The build is 100% custom shop quality
@@cragginshred I feel enabled :-) I bought my Henrik used and overall i really like it, although i've modded it a lot. But have always been curious about CS charvels or something like a Luxxtone or Chubtone.
@@cragginshred Just bought a sweet used El Machette off of Reverb. White, just a tiny bit of relic, H-S setup. Looks awesome, I hope it plays and sounds great too. I have to move my Henrik to help cover.
That's a toughish one. The JJ JR has two channels, which is more practical in a gigging situation. But the circuit of the LIttle Sister is Marshall JTM45 based. It has HUGE bass and a more classic tone compared to the JJ JR. The JJ is going to be more JCM800 sounding. I've got a BE50 (JCM800) and a DS Mini (JTM45) and a Twin Sister (JTM45). Just for a frame of reference, I keep the bass on the BE at about 8 or more. I keep the bass on the other amps around 4 or lower and it's still big beautiful tight bass. I LOVE the BE50. I think I LOVE the other two amps EVEN MORE. You can't go wrong with these amps!
@@williamfried3107 probably just the angle of the camera on my chest should’ve been up a little more. I was running on about 30% energy from how far we had peddled up and it was a super hot day at a new trail and I was just super Steve about all the new terrain. I definitely was not the bikes fault but I will have a buddy look at my Stack
I was down to 25% by the end of 5k climbing and 30 mile ride, however that was due to needing to use turbo mode to get out of some super steep sections
Thanks I just wish I headed into it more fresh. We pedaled up in excessive heat. I was shaking headed thru the drops and chunk I was so dehydrated and depleted of energy
@@terrydaniels9399 thanks, honestly in person it’s just as good out of the house PA, which is astounding. I Have used Fractal on and off for 12 years and this is the best sound I’ve ever gotten out of the house. Standing in front of a real lamp there’s no comparison, but that’s not the people hear and the audience.
Okay….my opinion…this is your best tone. That guitar (Anderson) sounds great no matter which amp you’ve played. But, the Alta sounds great. Would love to see your settings here.
Sounds really good. Nice and clear, no fizz. I just got my Alta back from Jason. He gave it the latest upgrades while he was here in the states last month. Channel 2 in modern mode is the move for me.
Thanks! He said mine shipped with those upgrades. We had a crappy sound ck, and the amp was surprisingly fairly difficult to dial in, but I found the sweet spot and used my volume knob to dial it back. Bummer these are just random clips I would not have filmed but you take what people film to be able to hear what it sounded like out front. Yeah I always use ch 2 modern with bride Cap one on!
@@cragginshred Well it cut through in the mix for sure, and without sounding harsh or nasally. I love riding the volume pot, makes me feel like I've got control of the throttle on a dragster.
