Anything you release never ceases to amaze me, you're the poster child for how to use gear and explore things people sometimes miss. This is old school brought back for the masses and I thank you for that.
@@dankeplace Truly appreciate such kind words. Win, lose, or draw I go all in. I’m just sincerely in love with music and this ever-unfolding craft of sound. Thank you for listening so intently. 🖤~ LBD
Beautiful 😍. Reminds me of some of John Foxx’s ambience. His Harold Budd collaborations. Love that lead sound. Got to be a Moog. Has this the Moog One on it ?
@@DorisDay-lw4xs That solo sound is my old, trusty 1975 ARP Axxe. Always such a pure, vocal voice. No Moog One on this one, but that’s certainly an instrument that I love. Thanks for listening! 🖤
Oh, it depends on the piece of music. Some pieces it could be a Moog Grandmother and an ARP 2600, others could be the entire room of modular. Usually an ARP String Ensemble in there somewhere… The goal for me is to carve each individual element in a piece of music to leave absolutely as much room for the next. To retain air and dynamics in my mixes. That’s where the large modular system comes into play because there’s just an incredible amount of tools available there to refine any one idea or movement within a piece. I would much rather program these systems and mix each piece as much as possible before hitting tape or digital recorders. While I absolutely use computers in the finishing stages of my projects, I very rarely ever start there. I’d rather spend that time on getting the performance of a piece as record ready as possible. Sometimes I record directly to an Otari 2-track reel to reel or Tascam DA3000 DSD recorder. The goal at this stage of my work is to never miss the call of the music. It’s such a tremendous joy realizing these records. It’s nice to release some of them in hopes to inspire you in some way… ~ 🖤LBD
New album sounds very cool. Lisa, please help me out with choosing a great, but reasonably priced set of comfortable headphones. I find some headphones sound great, but are so uncomfortable to wear.
@@ProfessorHumblesDelusions Thanks for listening! It was a joy to complete! As for headphones, I love my Sennheiser studio headphones. Comfortable, Musical sounding yet a wonderful flat response. I take them to every concert I perform. It’s how I dial up a mix on stage, in the studio I use for references and phase checking. They’re not expensive and are certainly built to last. Have a wonderful weekend! ~ 🖤 LBD

Dear Lisa Bella Donna, .. your music goes straight to my heart, and I am following your music already for such a longer time. I really love you by heart, and it would be nice to can meet you in person in one day, as I really admire you, especially on your live-videos, where you showed the world, how nice someone can play (incredible talented) on wonderful electronic instruments of nowadays. The video for the new Moog Muse (=already ordered) was one of the most nice performances, I saw of you life.. Feel invited to visit my channel, and warm greetings from Carsten, Germany.
Just wanted to let you know-and I’m probably not alone in this-that listening to your music, as well as your interviews and vlogs, gave me the courage to really pursue learning electronic music, even at age 52. I’ve always loved music and wanted to create some, but sadly, when I was young, my parents were not encouraging in that endeavor. I don’t have a studio yet, lol, but I think I have enough instruments to have some good fun, even if it’s not very melodic yet. I hope that at some point you travel to Montreal or near Montreal-I would love to see you live. RU-vid is nice, but it’s not the same as being at a live event in person.
