A big THANK YOU for your four part guide how to set it up. I got mine today, and thanks to your cineastic help it was way easier to set it up. Albeit I still have to do the crane stunt. The original manual explains nothing apart from how the lathe looks from inside, so it is very nice to get a handy guide. One question I have: In my lathe tool box I found five tooth gears plus a sixth, finer teethed one. I have no clue what they are for, as the only gear change recognizable on the tables on the lathe is to swap the 24T and the 48T gears. So far I am amazed about how big it is, and I am glad I did not go for the GH1236 as my space is quite constrained.
@@primadilna Thank you for your reply. I had one issue with my lathe (now sorted) and while I was in contact with them, I found out the fine teeth gear is for the thread dial indicator for certain imperial threads, and the larger gears need changing again for certain imperial threads - a reminder that the spindle is metric. The gears are mentioned on the imperial table on the machine. With me doing predominantly metric threads, the gear exchanges will be hopefully rare.
