I'm so confused. Is this based on their character, plot significance, or usefulness in the party Because Tio pretty much saved the duology for me with her Arts
@@XenoKiseki Rean, Elliot, Laura and Gaius were my main four in Cold Steel 1 and 2 except when Towa was available, I'd bring her in. Then in Reverie I had Rean, Towa, Crow and Elliot as my main. I love my musician 🙏💖
I agree with ALMOST all of this. Approving Aaron is the biggest L. He is immature, rude, crude and arrogant. I also dislike how he is constantly trying to antagonize someone like how he makes fun of Feri for being a kid or how she keeps insulting Van calling him old when dude is only 24. He also literally sleeps around like a total sleeze. I am genuinely baffled that people like him. Literally the only dud on this otherwise stellar cast. How do you NOT absolutely love Feri as a character? She is sweet and adorable and innocent and honest to a point its hilarious. Not to mention she is an awesome Jeager Loli like Fie. Definitely deserves headpats. Otherwise I agree. -Celis with her fiery foul mouth personality and her Smol complex is such a funny and adorable combo. -Risette is such wife material. She is so caring, kind and compassionate. She looks out for everyone in the group like the big sister or mom and she and Van are kindred spirits as they are not normal. They make a really good pair. -Judith has the public image of the “perfect woman” but she is anything but perfect. She is such an absolute mess of a woman and I LOVE HER! With all her many, MANY flaws it somehow makes her flawless. No need to fix her because of how perfectly imperfect she is. Easily best girl!😂❤ -Agnes is arguably the most well done “Innocent Princess” type character trope I have seen in a while. Like she is pure but she isn’t ignorant to how the world works and while she prefers to stay clean she isn’t against walking the line if needed. Really well balanced. -Quatre is a decent character. He isn’t bad but he just doesn’t really do anything for me personally. I like his(or her) character but don’t absolutely love it like some of the others. -Bergard is just that old grizzly veteran badass that you just can’t not like. A mentor that is wise, strong and well respected in many circles. Finally cool to meet the Legendary Barkhorn we heard about in past games. -Elaine was one of the characters that started off Meh and by the end she completely blew me away and I loved her as a character. The trio of Van, Rene and Elaine is just so interesting as they care for each other but there is this space between them. Especially when it comes to Elaine. It is heartbreaking because Van loves Elaine so much he has to let her go to keep her safe and she struggles to understand why. She truly loves him and she just wants to understand why she can’t be with him. I really love her character development. -I love how free spirited and carefree Shizuna is and yet she has the crazy switch she flips. When things go down she is ready to throw down. She is in a position of leadership yet her #2 has to constantly rein her in and babysit her.
I'm with you on Aaron. I find him insufferable and always leave him behind whenever I have the option. I can't say that I'm particularly taken with Elaine, myself. Maybe I'm just not there yet, but she's been kinda boring, especially as being yet *another* "badass beautiful sword lady" that everyone gushes over. Kinda gettin tired of that trope. It's fine with someone like Aurelia, because she's hilarious and awesome in equal measure. Not overly fond of Albert, either, but I don't have put up with him that much. Otherwise I've enjoyed the majority of the cast. Marielle's been fun. Especially with her ridiculously impossible luck.
@@judaihyuga totally agree with Aurelia being a goated character and yea any chance I get to not have to interact with Aaron I take. Literally baffled people like a arrogant, crude, rude, disrespectful, immature sleeze. But I get your “strong sword” lady trope being overused especially in TLOH games. I just find her and Van and Rene dynamic interesting and it’s subtle. Like when he told Arron he understands how he feels and then says “you love something or SOMEONE so much that you have to leave it behind” really tells you what Can head space is when it comes to Elaine. But yea. I can understand the not feeling her. Apparently she is more prominent in the 2nd game and becomes a full fledged playable character so there is still time for development. Its a TLOH game so lets see.
@@thealmightypuht.a.p. i already read why you hate Aaron, funny enough your reason is my reason why i like Aaron, im not reading that newspaper writing how you like other character
Just a personal opinion, there are some writing/story elements that I think were not handled very well which was a huge let down for me. I also I expected a lot more as well due to how good Daybreak 1 was.
I realize I'm in the minority when I say Cold Steel 1 was very enjoyable. I loved it actually. However in the flip side I have ZERO interest in Sky 3rd.
Kuro 2 i wouldn't say is that bad cause imho it does have great Character moments, awesome boss fights and Honestly the best Gameplay of the entire Series at least imho. Also Shizuna Rem is more Prominent and im a simp for her 🤣🤣🤣 Kuro 1 def is better as an overall package tho.
That’s wild. I’m currently playing Kuro 1 and it has been an awesome ride so far. So to see the hate being thrown on Kuro 2 has me a little disheartened. Hopefully, it’s not as bad as it’s being let on to be.
Ah an SC enjoyer, opinion approved. I also kinda hate the Cold Steel games but just because I really don't like Rean that much lmao. He was best in CS3 imo
@@TheDustifiable1986 I don't like Rean because I never felt like he ever grew as a character. In CS1 and 2 he's a harem anime protagonist trope with self confidence issues and a penchant for self sacrifice. In CS3 I feel like he escapes that a little bit simply because the writing is mostly on the new class VII, but in CS4 he just ends up being the same old Rean again. Like, you have tons of people around you who only want your best interest, why would you ever think you aren't good enough after 4 WHOLE GAMES OF THIS? In Reverie he finally ends this habit but it's a little too late at that point. Estelle and Lloyd are also altruistic, but they don't put themselves down in order to do so. If they do, it is portrayed as a moment of weakness. For Rean, it's just every day that he puts himself down, downplays his achievements, and ignores the people around him who trust him and rely on him. I just felt like his character growth stagnated and never went anywhere until Reverie
@mark-gj4mb so I didn't play reverie (I played trails 1-4 now I'm slowly playing through sky. I gotta admit, sky is tough to play through cause the gameplay is kinda dated and it's slow. I'm playing through sky 2 right now) I can see your point with Rean. I dunno why though, he works for me.
@@TheDustifiable1986 the best way to enjoy the Sky games is to try and break the combat system as much as possible lmao. At the end of SC I had Olivier doing like a quarter of a boss's health bar in one art. I had Agate set up to basically just build up a million CP a turn and spam his S Craft. It was fun. That way the game isn't too hard and you can have fun breaking the combat while still enjoying the story
Thats about how i feel about the games surprisingly (minus kuro as i haven't played them yet), azure and SC are my favorites (I just really like the SSS). Cold steel goes from pretty good (3) and meh (2) for me. Dont think cold steel needed to be that long
Oh come on, CS2 is at least "WOOOOOO!!!" because how it happened around the same time as Azure You even get to play as Lloyd and Rixia (Best Crossbell Waifu btw) too for a while And CS2 story in general is pretty good too
@@Synthpopper Not mentionning personnaly I started with the Cold Steel series, so when I reach that part of the game I was like "wtf are these 2 guys ?", so to me it was more confusing than anything XD
@@nesoukkefka1741I didn't start with Cold Steel, I started with Sky but the only other Trails games out when CS2 came out was Trails in the Sky FC and SC and CS1 and yeah when I got to the end I was confused wondering who the heck Lloyd and Rixia were. I still get upset Falcom didn't allow me to play them in release order because they didn't localize Sky 3rd, Zero and Azure before CS. CS2 was amazing though, one of my favorites I don't get the hate.
I don't even BOTHER with evade setups even at lv 200 a full Str setup on Rean Laura and Millium is all you really need in order for their s crafts to top 500,000+ damage EACH even at lv 200 on NIGHTMARE MODE. At 500,000 damage each pretty much the FINAL boss of the TRC floor 16 may have enough HP to survive 1.5 million damage IN 1 turn Nightmare mode only.
