Hi Vera, yes the TwinFry took me by surprise. The air fryer oven has elements top and bottom as well. Although the TwinFry elements are more efficient. 👋👋👋😍❤️😘
1. For the onions, and some salt and cover with a half inch of water and boil it off before frying. This will speed up the cooking of the onions and aid getting the Maillard reaction (browning) adding flavour. It's better to fry in beef dripping (tallow) as butter has milk solids that burn. 2. Lean meat is no good for this, it's way too dry and there's no gelatin. Use a decent chunk of 80/20 chuck from a butcher in a single piece or better still, lower shin beef. 3. You didn't brown the meat, you just greyed it. The way to do it is get a single chunk of meat and sear the sides until they are crusted. This is the Maillard reaction again and adds significant taste to the dish. Cut it into chunks after searing. There's a myth about sealing meat but it's not sealing, the idea is to gain as much flavour as possible. Searing two sides is enough. 4. Fry the mushrooms in a separate pan to get rid of their moisture. 5. Salt is flavour, don't skimp on it. 6. Animal suet is definitely the way to go, should be amazing. You don't need to rub it in as the pieces are small (assuming you're using Atora or similar); again you can get real suet from the butcher and chop it. 7. Please don't air-fry the crust directly, you limit its fluffiness because the fan blasts very hot air onto the top, it hardens and the dough has nowhere to go. Pop some foil over it for the first 10 minutes, this will keep the top soft due to steam. Then uncover for the last 15~20 minutes to make the top crunchy. That's just being picky, it looks fantastic and I'd come for tea anytime.
Blimey !!! That is one big comment. When we were working we probably wouldn’t have seared anything, we would have just thrown it in and gone to work. We have a little more time now but try to make things as tasty and as cheaply as we can. I wonder what the subscribers would say if we did it your way. I’m not saying you’re wrong I bet it’s great. We do use the butcher but most of our shopping is done at the supermarket due to cost and travel. It was still a lovely pie, we’re not aiming for perfection we will leave that to the fancy chefs.
GrahM and wendy what a lovely lot of tea cakes I hope you enjoyed them wendy sounded snuffley I hope your OK wendy both of you wrap up warmwhe you go out it's gone very cold where i am love fran ps winter is on the way worst luck xxxxx❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Fran, my hay fever clears and then Wendy gets worse. We both have asthma, we have an air cleaner in the bedroom which is helping a lot. Love Graham and Wendy xx
@@grahamgetsabout2672 oh I've got copd so has my some but he's worse than me .I hope you both have your flu jabs I'm going and having mine on the 29 of this month I hate winter being in coats going out jn the freezing cold and the wind when it's very bad wind I don't go out as the wind takes my breath away and i struggle to breathe xxxxx❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
AWESOME review, the two of you are fun and easy to watch! I'm a single guy who has been using my sister's Cosori for some time, love the machine, but problem is that I must layer the stuff pretty full and thick in there and that causes an extended cooking time, soooo I'm gonna move up to the Blaze and then also this will help elevate my skills as I'll do some baking in it as well! Again LOVE your review!
Hi, we try not to be too serious. One thing we’ve learnt, if you overload an air fryer it slows it right down and the food is unevenly cooked. I think that’s partly why they are getting bigger. 👋👋👋👋👌
Hi Mike, I did look and it kept taking me to the Royal Mail. Is that where you work. We are retired or I’m sure we could never do these videos. It takes us so long 😂😂😂👏👏👏👏👍
So good looking,I do like a toasted teacake now and again, you sounded like Lofty when you said ''Aint Half Hot'' Graham, you missed out the ''Mum'' 😂 another great video guys 👍👋👋👋👋
Hi Richard, teacakes we’re made for toast weren’t they. It was on the tip of my tongue mate don’t worry. Now I’m humming whispering grass, Wendy won’t like that 😂😂😂😂😂👌👍
Hi bill, it’s a big problem. How many things in life do we stop doing. Most of my elderly relations used to say everything in moderation. The trouble was most of the men worked 7 days a week, lm sure that didn’t help. Look after yourself bill 🤞👍
The average price for electric in the UK is 22.36 per KW hour so at 30p and your prices for cooking how come the average electric bill in the UK is £100 per month, that is what I can't get my head around.
I’ve no idea Graham. We try to be as sparing as we can. I know many people rely on electric for heating and medical equipment so it must cost them a fortune.
You two have done it again haven't you??? My gruel time and up you pop making delicious looking yummies, that is sadistic. I like Lidls jams and especially their thin cut marmalade. Now I hope that poor hard working lassie Wendy is on the minimum wage there for all the hard work she does cooking for you and for handling your micro management. You are paying 30p/kWH? I am only paying 21.27p but I still have to warm my gruel on a candle.
Hi Vince, they were very tasty. I thought they were too nice with Lidl jam on. I still like to look through the oven window to see how they’re growing. I’m the same with the tomatoes in the summer, I can be outside for hours and hours. If I fancy a bit of excitement I watch the twin tub going round. At 30p a kWh I can’t afford to pay Wendy as well. You’re on a good deal there mate well done 👏👏👏👏👏. If I had your tariff it would be a nightmare with the energy meter 😂😂😂😂👍
@@grahamgetsabout2672 I do like a nice homemade soup. I have a morphy Richards soup maker which I love as it chops and blends as well. I'm playing catch up again as been quite ill, yet again. Love to you both. xxx
Oh graham what a lovely dinner so you had a free dinner everything was in no popping to the shop now Graham will you stop picking on wendy the girl cut the tomatoes carrots and onion and cooked it oh yes I know you did your bit growing the tomatoes and then you cooked the soup and how's your fathered it and tasted it and then you put a glug of milk in it and dished it out alovely doup for a winters day cos water is on its way love to you vboth fran xxxxxxx❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Fran, that soup was easy and so good. I think it’s the way we will always have it now. The tomatoes have been good this year and we’re still getting some 🤷♂️ there’s a lot of fooling about in our cooking but it still comes out pretty good. Thank you Fran xxxx
@@grahamgetsabout2672 oh I know grahamyour only fooling about with wendy I was fooling with you saying stop picking on wendy your a great couple and I love your channel cos your both down to earth love fran xxxxxx❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm green with envy seeing your tomatoes, mine were totally rubbish this year😢 A lovely soup for this miserable weather and a free loaf to go with it, who could ask for more😊❤
Hi Gill, I’ve grown less tomatoes this year but we’re still getting them. I love these smaller varieties. Your right they tasted even better with free bread 😂😂😂😂😍🥰❤️😘👌
Soup? SOUP???? Sheer decadence That looks fabulous I have to say, tomato soup is my all time favourite. I have to save up for 1 month to afford 1 tin of CHEAP tomato soup. I like a little chorizo in tomato soup and a little smoked paprika, Nice one you two.
Hi Vince it was really nice and easy. We can supply a little smoked paprika but you will have to bring your little chorizo in your pocket. Just be careful which pocket you choose when your sitting on the bus mate 😂😂😂😂😂🤞👍
That would be awesome on Bonfire night from a flask watching Fireworks. I would only add Basil in for my taste as live Tomato and Basil Soup on a cold nippy day. Presure Cooker fantastic friend for soup making 🥰💜x
You two are a hoot, especially the banter at the end 😂,the tomato soup looks great, our Heidi loves it and more so with Papas home made croutons which she would sit and eat on there own instead of crisps,I take a slice of white bread and slice it with the pizza cutter 4x4 to get 16 little squares toss them in a bowl with oil salt and pepper then air fry them at 200 shaking a couple of times till they're crisp and golden, usually around 4 or 5 minutes is enough in my air fryer,I've always got a bag of them when I pick her up from school, another great video Graham and Wendy 👍 👏👏👏👏
Hi Richard, this soup was so nice and why do we keep forgetting the croutons🤷♂️shameful behaviour I know. If Heidi likes them graham likes them. Thank you mate 👋👋👋👋👋👍
Hi Angie, this was the easiest and tastiest tomato soup we have made so far. A real winner in the cosori pressure cooker. Another tick on the reasons why everyone should buy one 😂😂😂😂😂 🥰😍❤️😘👌
Hi Graham Wendy your choux buns looks so lovely I bet they tasted lovely too if you piped the mixture in long lines about 2 inches you would of had éclairs wendy those rice crispy cakes looked so nice I hope Graham didn't eat them all love fran xxxxxxx❤❤❤❤
Hi Fran, they were nice. How could they not be nice, it’s a bit of a treat and another treat would be some eclairs. What surprised me was how nice the rice crispy cakes were. Will it ever stop raining ☔️ xxxx
@@grahamgetsabout2672 well its not rained here in st helens today but Sunday and yesterday it poured down I went bakewell with my sister and jt was raining that much we went and had a snack then we went to Whalley basin and went on a barge and we had afternoon tea it was a lovely day out then when we where coming home the coach driver dropped me off at the corner of my street which was good of him love fran xxxxxx
@@francisraffle2948 wow Judith, that’s a dream day out for us. Keep getting out there mi duck love graham and Wendy. I wonder if anyone realises why I call you Judith 😂😂😂😂😂xxxx
They look fab and I’m impressed with how adventurous you are with your cooking. And I can’t believe my repairs are still going strong!! Have you ever done meringues? Apparently you can freeze them and I really love a Pavlova so would be great to have some readily available!!
Angie Angie Angie. You should see our lemon meringue, honest it’s fantastic. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0X3pzOy0Jh4.htmlsi=I9vtxGyGkdgHXtTN Or even these ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0X3pzOy0Jh4.htmlsi=I9vtxGyGkdgHXtTN 😂😂😂😂😂😂❤️
@@grahamgetsabout2672 I must go through all your videos!! I also love a lemon meringue! Got to be able to store or freeze else I’ll end up eating cake every day!! I’m trying to find a partner not frighten everyone off by looking like a bus!!!!
Ooh. That lemon meringue looks the business. I’m thinking of making individual lemon bases and then freezing. I can then just take one out and defrost and pop a prepared meringue top onto it. Then just warm through!! Got lots to make!! I like juggernaut Graham ❤😂❤😂
Thankyou for all the information I have the Cosori Blaze and just purchased on 10 L Cosori air fryer have been waiting for this large design ideal for large joints .
Thank you, I tried not to give to much information because it gets boring but there is so much to cover with this TwinFry if you like the cosori blaze you will love this one. 👌👍
Hi Graham and Wendy, sorry I’ve been a bit quiet , had lots going on here. Those profiteroles look very scrumptious. Well done joint effort thank you for doing these videos. ❤️😊.It’s 03:38 in the morning I can’t sleep, brain won’t shut down. 😂
Hi Linda, we have noticed one or two people missing but sometimes life takes over for a while. Let’s hope you can settle, I hope my reply doesn’t disturb you. Look after yourself Linda 🤞👋👋👋👋🥰😍❤️😘
@@grahamgetsabout2672 bless you Graham no it hasn’t disturbed me at all , as you say just life getting in the way. Hopefully I’ll be back to normal soon . ❤️😊
Hi Anne, I try to keep clear of our local bakery because Wendy bakes at home. I think they still do elephants feet or was I dreaming about them again. 😂😂😂😂😂😍🥰❤️
Hello Graham. Your cake stand reminded me of the Pump Room Restaurant in Bath, where they have an afternoon tea. Only thing is, the cheapest option is £42.50 per person 😮😮 The most expensive is £185 each!
Hi Philip, blimey mate we will throw the plate in as well for that price. 😂😂😂😂. That’s another luxury we manage without 😂😂😂😂😂hope you had a good weekend 👌👍
They look so lovely well done a great job so professional. I have never made choux pastry will have to try this. Thanks for showing us how to do it. Xx
I always look forward to your videos😂. They looked so good, I bet they tasted good also. Its years since I made choux pastry, well worth it though. Look forward to the next one.❤
How come that poor lass Wendy gets to do all of the manual work? I love them filled with brandy cream and they look delicious. Oh Well..... back to my gruel.
Hi Vince, I did squirt the cream in mate 😂😂😂😂😂, you will have to bring the brandy with you. No if your coming I’ll push the boat out and get a 1/4 of wine gums 👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👍
Thank you Wendy and Graham your baking was a success your buns and rice crispy cakes look great hope you left your grandson some for the next day keep up the good work best wishes Sheila and family
