I'm Arthur Bhutic! I lived on the North Carolina Border in Chestnut Springs on Old Hwy 25 from the end of April 1978 to the end of August 1987! Then I moved to Houston! I'd want one to be constructed in East Houston! The first must start at Wallisville Rd and Lockwood Dr running 🏃 north on Lockwood! Will run 🏃 above IH 610 North Loop Epwy to Lyndon Benson Johnson Hospital 🏥 and to end north at Parker at an above grade level rapid transit 🚇 train 🚆 line, just like 👍 in Atlanta! I've rode the trains 🚆 in Atlanta in February 1984 and I remember though I was 8 1/2 back then! I was with a school 🏫 field trip that Saturday! The next must start from Wallisville and Lockwood following eastward along the south side of Wallisville and separates! Then runs 🏃 along a rr tracks and along a ditch! That'll intersect IH 610 East Loop Epwy south of Wallisville! Then runs 🏃 above US 90 (Crosbyton Epwy) into Herman Brown Park! Then runs east along Woodforest Blvd and and separates to the south and ends on Maxey Park and Ride on Maxey Rd! While another in East Houston! Must, start from Market St from an above grade level rapid transit 🚇 train 🚆 line in Jacinto City east of IH 610! Then runs 🏃 north! Will run 🏃 above IH 10 East Epwy to run 🏃 by Northeast Houston Community College, along Gellhorn Dr hopping over the elevated of Wallisville Rd and following Mesa Dr running above Business 90 and ending at Tidwell Rd at the Mesa Transit Center by a Fiesta Grocery Store! Another must start in Jacinto City at Market and Holland from the above grade level rapid transit 🚇 train 🚆 line running 🏃 east along Market and running 🏃 north on Maxey running 🏃 above IH 10 and onto the Maxey Park and Ride!
I'm Arthur Bhutic! I lived in Travelers Rest from February 1978 to August 1987 and attended Gateway Elementary School 🏫! I've been to the old swimming pool! I could've seen 👀 this! Just that I moved to Houston!
I AM HOPING THAT CAMP SPEARHEAD CAN REOPEN ALL THE WEEKEND PROGRAMS AND ALSO ALL THE SUMMER CAMPS AGAIN BECAUSE I REALLY MISS BEING AT CAMP SPEARHEAD AND I THINK THAT IT IS A GOOD CAMP 🏕 TO BE AT EVERY SINGLE YEAR.
How about trying to bring back a commuter/freight lite rail system that includes a bike/hike trail? Contact me directly if you want the rest of my plan...🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
It would be nice if the heritage of that car could be maintained throughout the restoration process. It was originally part of the CNO&TP division of the Southern Railway. I have some pictures somewhere of all the original markings on it not long after it was first put in it's current location.
This trail is hazardous to children. It crosses roads with heavy traffic. You'd think they would make overpasses and such. My mother in law just witnessed a 15ish boy get hit by a car crossing it. It will happen again. Poorly thought out and executed in my opinion.
love to see so much green space and gardening integrated into the developments. Very excited to see what lies in store for Poinsett, years ago Poinsett hwy pretty much kept me from applying to Furman. A well thought out road that incorporates cyclists and pedestrians with attractive landscaping could make all the difference!
Fabulous trail. As we were deciding on moving here, we saw there was a great bike trail here...we came on down (we were temporarily living in Virginia where we were not happy with the bike trails), rented a place to live, and stayed. This trail is great proof that the community, towns, county and state CAN all work together to accomplish something great for all of us. Can't wait to see how this trail will grow and keep going to great new places for us to explore as well as get a workout.
