Tom my friend, thanks so much for the great shout-out. I really appreciate it. You are producing fantastic videos and I enjoy following along on your rides and adventures. Like you, I am grateful to be part of this Goldwing / RU-vid community. I also work full time and the weather here in the north is up and down like a dog's breakfast. Hot and humid to cold, wet and windy. It's hard to get out on the bike. Motorcycle parking, wow, I could only wish!! lol. Have fun, enjoy the ride and stay safe.
Hi Larry, thank you for your kind comments. Again, I really do like what you did with your trailer and the way that the black matches your. bike. Here in north Texas we can ride year round except for a few days in the winter when we have snow or ice. Although it is not far, I ride my bike to work, so I ride it almost every day. I got it last October with 1700 miles and now have over 12000 miles on it. Ride safely, my friend.
@@tom81773 Thanks Tom. I am very happy with how my trailer turned out. Today I finished adding marker lights and doing some minor work. With a little luck I can get out for a ride tomorrow. Sure wish I could ride as often as you guys. Be safe out there.
Hi Mac, thank you for your comments. I really appreciate the videos that you have put up. If you are able to get down this way please let me know, I would love to meet up in person. Ride safely, my friend!
Your channel is improving by leaps and bounds Tom !! Beautiful ride and how cool you get special parking !! Thank you for the shout out and the kind words! See you again soon !!!
Hi Robert, I always enjoy it when we can get together! I consider it a privilege to have met you through this RU-vid community! Hope to see you again soon.
I've been doing that route since 1974 when I rode a Honda 305 Dream. Every bike I've had since gets taken on it. I just did it last, 2 weeks ago on my new Goldwing DCT!
I have the exact same bike; I was looking into installing this product and after watching the video and seeing how easy it looked to be installed, I will be purchasing this Traxxion product. Thank you for the video.
I am glad that this video helped you. This is very easy to install. I would recommend that you also view Max's installation video at Traxxion Dynamics. Fortunately, I have not dropped the bike, but hopefully it will work as billed. I watched the videos of Max dropping his bike with this installed and with no damage. Ride safely!
Looked like a beautiful day for a ride Tom, thank you for taking us along. Talk to Cruiseman next time you are at breakfast about the 360 editing. I noticed your CarPlay cut out...
Regarding the carplay, I use the Carlinkit. I was having a serious problem with it cutting out every time that I went over even a small bump in the road. I fiddled around with it and ended up replacing the USB-A to USB-C connecting cable and since then it has been rock solid.
Nice ride Tom. Bike sounds silky smooth. Is that a new modular helmet? Love the charm of our somewhat unchanged small towns in Texas. You have a knack of picking low traffic areas to ride. What day(s) and time of day do you prefer to get out to your touring?
It is the same helmet that I have had since I got this bike. It is a carbon fiber HJC. It look different in this video because I do not have the camera on my chin mount. I shot this video with only one camera mounted on the handlebar and then stopped and turned the camera around after the intro. I greatly prefer to get out of the city and into lower traffic areas. This video shows my favorite escape route. From Cleburne I can take route TX 4 to Granbury or continue on US 67 to Glenrose or even Stephenville. Right now my primary ties to ride are Saturdays or Sunday afternoon. In the summer heat, I prefer to ride on Saturday mornings.
@@tom81773 Thanks Tom. I thought something looked a bit different on your helmet and was focused on the chin of the helmet looking different than what I was accustomed to seeing. You clarified it! Thank you.
Hi GROne, thanks for watching. You are right. Here in Texas it is going to be hot until October. But I prefer heat to cold myself. I would rather ride in 100 degrees than 40.
THe Products are good, Just so expensive for what you get. After a tip over you will need to bend all the deformed parts back into shape using Max's bending tool. I really wish the GW had a simple crash bar
Now this is another great ride for the log book Tom. The DCT smoothly rolling along. Sounds great. Just you and the breeze on your knees. Love it. How many miles a day are you most comfortable riding Tom?
Hi Roadglide. Thanks for watching. This video is from my recent Memorial Day weekend trip to Lake of the Ozarks. Going there, I left Arlington at 5:00 AM. I took the scenic route through Arkansas and Branson MO. I stopped in Springfield MO for 2-3 hours and arrived at destination around 8:30 PM having covered 650 miles. I did not feel too much the worse for the wear. I am not really sure what distance I am most comfortable covering in one day. Most of my riding is day riding of 100-300 miles. I try to do 2-3 long weekend trips per year.
@@tom81773 Thank you Tom. You put down some miles that first day. It’ll depends on how much time you had to make all this happen. Nice job. Looked like a great time.
Thank you, Tom. Such a great area for riding. I spent some time their when I was working for Mercury Marine and met great people in the Marine Industry who were selling fishing boats. Safe travels.
Beautiful ride Tom! I really like that you know history too. That when the Lake of the Ozark’s was originally constructed in 1931 it was the largest man-made lake in the US! Good information. Nice ride pace out there too. Thank you.
Nice ride. Always good to see flat water while riding. Good verse to start my day. My Guardian Angel from my father-in-law (deceased WWII vet and wonderful guy) says "Protect me, my passengers, and all who I pass by with a steady hand and a watchful eye."
It was fun but I did this ride mostly to get some video to put up. I shot this on a Friday evening and just a couple of miles before I started the video, I was almost run over by a car. I had to swerve to avoid getting hit. I know that you are going to Alaska soon, but after you get back, if you are looking for an invite, I am thinking about taking a Saturday ride up to Mount Scott in Oklahoma about 200 miles away. You would be welcome to come along.
Awesome intro Tom! You can’t go wrong with biblical perspectives. Refreshes & resets our moral guide post. Loved it the location. JP Lake! Nice job with the video in all points. Picture & sound.
Tom, thank you for the Bible verse and nice video. What microphone set up are you using. I don’t know you, but the audio quality sounds natural and high quality. God Bless.
@@jameshales6958 Perhaps you have me confused with someone else. I have never had an Insta360. I have only used Gopros. I believe Robert White uses the RODE microphone setup. @robertwhitephotography
Preach Tom, Preach !! Interesting enough I was part of the entertainment at the ground breaking ceremony of Joe Pool Lake (way back in the day). Audio was really good on this one Tom !!
Thanks for watching. It has been a while since the ground breaking. It has grown up a lot around the lake. I was using the Purple Panda microphone clipped onto the microphone for my Bluetooth headset inside of my helmet. Hope to see you at breakfast tomorrow.
Hey there Tom. That Highway 7 looks like a great road to ride. Like you, I pull over and let traffic go so I can relax and enjoy the ride. Thanks for sharing. Have fun out there.
Yes, it is a very scenic ride mostly along the ridgeline, with great views off to each side. I had some difficulty deciding between the DCT and manual but I am very glad the I chose the DCT! Thanks for watching!
