I am Literally Playing NHL LEGACY on my PC instead of this. The older games were simply better. EA’s execution on the Xbox 1 and Now, Next Gen is pathetic. Bring Back 2K.
Me personally, i hate that they don't make less known or less "Star" kind of players look like they actually look. When you take NBA games or Fifa, they make every player look like they actually look.
i agree with all of these ideas, as a LD myself i feel like defense is broken in this game and honestly it has been since nhl21, in an arcade game mode such as WOC 6s i gotta be way too passive pokes are too sketchy a lot of the time, the stick lifts/tie ups are almost useless, and the hit system just isnt something that was executed well. its too clunky and missing is really punishing and is almost a goal against every single time especially in a sweaty game. it makes the game not as fun to play and ive personally stopped playing the game competitively in any way because of this, and i am hoping that ea can clean the game up a bit and just make it more balanced overall. if i buy nhl25 i have a feeling itll only be for the new franchise mode revamp which we still know nothing about as of right now, but time will tell. sad times when my favorite game that i own every single game in the entire series has been so bad lately that i just dont even have the hype to even buy it anymore.
@@twopc3705it does it automatically, at least in 24. I would assume it’s the same in 25 but they did tweak one timers so it may be slightly different. I doubt it since it’s a new mechanic that started this year with 24.
Have the ability to customize controls so I can remove check from the right stick. This would eliminate the accidental interference check when anticipating a one timer.
The funny part is that literally every game of any genre is done bad and copied and paste from the past edition. It’s almost like they do it on purpose.
I miss the old lobbies - you could swap positions and trash talk (longer) with the opposing team. Worst thing about 24 is the constant ass bombs aka hip checks, everyone spamming these 50+ per game, total trash
They ruined OTP, tell EA to go and play NHL 2014. They had it right a decade ago. They just kept making it worse, they kept "improving" it until it was unplayable. I've returned last 3 EA NHL's for full refunds after playing for a couple weeks to give them a chance. They are not keeping my money for an inferior product that is no fun to play. I'm not playing HUT and I'm not doing micro transactions. I want to buy the game, build my own skater, play right wing or center and enjoy the only mode in the game I enjoy. That has been WAY to difficult to do for the last few years. Also, WTF EA, 2009 is that last release for PC? I hate having to buy inferior console tech to play a game. Especially when the console becomes useless because NHL is the only game I play on console. The game has been so unfun to play online the last few years that am to the point I'm compelled to return the game. I refuse to support things that suck. When you pay for a game that sucks and you don't ask for a refund you are signally to EA that it is okay to keep producing crap. My theory is... stop letting them keep your money for making crap and they'll stop making crap.
I think last and current gen consoles have become so close to computers - and similar to each other - that porting is far easier than years past. It would likely be a stretch to call it easy, but doable. Think about quality scaling in PC games - closer to that than it was before. The big thing is EA has done little to work on these games because they make money either way. Spend $20M and bring in $60M from this game, or spend $5M and bring in $60M from this game? There's no competitor, so no hand forcing them to do well. The last 2K game was 2K11. Otherwise, what do we go to? Bush League Hockey? Goons: Legends & Mayhem? Super Blood Hockey? None of those come close in the realistic-ish gameplay with advanced controls or better-than-indie class. I'm waiting for the announcement of Mutant Hockey League, but that hasn't officially come yet beyond "If Mutant Football League 2 sells well, we'll do that next".
Month late, but you can force A.I shots by simply pretending to shoot the puck, you can be anywhere, flick up, and the A.I will shoot. Been this way for years too lol P.S I play skill stick not new controls

NHL to PC allready. How hard can it be. I am not spending 300-600 on a console just for one game when I have a amazing gaming pc. I know it is a broken record, but pc gaming is on all time high. Stop dissing us EA and come to PC allready.
EA: all great ideas! Now lets add a feature no one asked for or will like and make it so they cant turn it off! Seriously though...id want them to completely overhaul the Be a Pro mode. Looong quests to get an ability you dont even want, having abilities not be targetable generically, after rookie contract AUTOMATICALLY forcing you to sign with the same team, and the star/teammates/management being an absolutely useless function all need to change
only reason im slightly interested nhl 25 is my home team (kiekko-espoo) would probably be in game since they moved up to finnish top league for up coming season, but im pc gamer without gurent gen console switch dosent count and nhl games are console exclusive also its still EA sport game and that reason alone not to get the game
EA is, and has been, investing minimally to the NHL series for a decade. It feels like the game is getting more attention this year for under delivering but it has been like this for years. Maybe Madden also getting some attention is helping NHL by EA proxy but, yea. EA is killing sports games. 2K's attempt at basketball isn't any better. This is what happens when only 1 developer is making sports games. There isn't any competition so the market only has one option if they want to buy the game. Also, the hell with old consoles and port the game to PC already!
They should just make a game called nhl where they just continuously update the roster adding and removing players everyyear adding game modes with updates. Instead of selling us the same fucking pile of crap every year
