IM ALMOST AT 195K MILES ON MINE just do oil changes and change the transmission filter every 30k miles and swap out coil packs and spark plugs at 125k miles and it will last.
I love my 2009 Kia Rio LX. I am still driving it in 2024. I can attest to the great gas mileage. Over 13 years, I am averaging 30.61 mpg, city and highway combined. I have noted about 38 mpg highway on long road trips. It may be one of the last models to not have power windows or power locks. I absolutely love it and hope I never need to buy another car again.
I love my 2010 Matric, but I want to reveal something I never expected. I knew it had electric assist power steering, but I've never worked on it in my life. I was driving home and the power steering went out! Very hard to steer when that happens. I looked for a fluid reservoir but it wasn't there, anywhere. I called the dealership and they had zero knowledge of what to do. I spoke to a repair shop guy and he wanted to charge me $100 just to plug in his diagnostic scanner into the OBD port and scan for power steering issues. I asked my brother, he asked me if the Check Engine light was on, I didn't know, so I tried to start it but now the battery was dead. He said "There's your problem ". Bing! Totally made sense,it's an electrically assisted steering, when the battery is kaput, no more electric assist. If it happens to you, check your battery first. I've read accounts where people replace the rack and pinion, and all kinds of things that never fix the problem. I just hope this helps someone.
