Welcome! I’m here to cover anything and everything remotely related to cooking (mostly on my favorite outdoor cooking appliance: a griddle). You can also tune into my podcast found on all major podcast platforms. This radio show style podcast is entertaining and is co-hosted by four “Guri.” The four Guri talk sports, current events, have contests, and eventually get around to griddle reviews and recommendations.
You can by an 'L' quick connection adapter for around $10 at ACE. Route gas line and place the tank below the griddle. Eliminate the trip Hazzard and the side gas fitting.
I think the shelf sits there because you can use a small 1 pound tank with it. But idk why they couldn't design it with a betting tank holder if you are using a small bottle
Yes! This is absolutely true and I should have clarified with regard to the “problem.” If you are using the 1 lb tank then you of course could keep it on that side. It’s just annoying to work around when using the 20lb tank. Thanks for the comment!
Yes it’s pretty even across the top. The front is cooler on account of the flames not being directly beneath it and the edges are always a little cooler but that’s to be expected.
You could feed an army of humans one batch at a time with the only limitations being propane tanks and food supplies and the tiredness of the cook 👨🍳 to stand and cook meals. That’s how big restaurants work with small cooking equipment and batch cooking 🍳. I’m just sayin 😊 “cook on”
The blackstone griddle with the side burner has the aluminum griddle with nonstick coating and you must use the plastic utensils on it or you will damage your griddle surface. Just an FYI . I ordered the griddle camping kit that comes with the griddle oil bottles and the plastic griddle utensils. I ordered the same griddle with the side burner, can’t wait to cook some hash browns and eggs with onions.🧅 French toast and honey 🍯.
The plastic handle on this thing is junk and it already broke after less than 10 uses. The nonstick cooking surface is awesome though! Keep an eye on the handle though. Blackstone sent me a replacement but I put a metal handle on instead. Uses a 4 3/4" handle and will need short screws.
Nice review but no thanks. I have the 22" with steel surface. No aluminum non-stick here. I think they're trying to compete with Coleman which I have and for what it is, not bad.
That's awesome, congrats! I tried to get that one as well. Can't complain though, I was one of two national winners of a Blackstone Patio Series 36 inch with air fryers.
this griddle he is showing would be awesome if you do a lot of outdoor camping however, it would be best for you, the Vevor is for people that have limited counter space in their kitchens, it is also a 120 /110 volt machine.
if you want the best griddle, check the Vevor griddles out, best value for the money, i recently purchased mine for 80.00 on the 14" i know it will be perfect for my needs.
I really like my 14” it scratches pretty easily though. I don’t know if that 14” will be good for a bigger family due to the two zones. The 14” griddle plate its self has two zones they are about 7” wide each. A hot side and a warm side, the warm side will still cook obviously but is a lower temperature than the hot. I did a review on it about a month ago. Good review guru got a subscriber out of me.
Awesome video ! We have this one and love it so far. Had my doubts at first and almost bought the 20” , but figured we give it a try. Been testing it out at home cooking dinners and breakfast and had some friends over to see what it could do, and this did fine for us. Especially with how fast these things cook stuff. We normally only have around 4-6 people camping with us so this is to replace having to pack around our old 22” Blackstone and Coleman 2 burner. Much lighter than the 22” adventure too.
Got the same one, smooth surface no bubbles, they tell you in the manual to check the ignitors 1/8 inch from the burner. Sure nuff, the ignitor on the griddle side was touching the burner so had to adjust it a bit. I am using this for trail riding with the side by side for remote lunches and dinners. Also on the farm when we are working back in the woods away from the house,
Useless fact. I've been bitten by a female Carpenter bee. I was allergic to it. Massive welt on my leg and felt like my lips and throat were going to close for about 5 days.
Hello there. Do you have an email I can get a hold of you through. Myself and two other guys do a live show and try to have different RU-vids on each time. Few weeks ago we had Neal the flat top king on. Let me know. Thanks Ryan.
Hey! Thanks for reaching out. You can reach me at sean@thegriddleguru.com. I’d love to have you as a guest on our weekly podcast as well if that interests you all.
Here it is, but I got mine on clearance for $99! www.walmart.com/ip/Blackstone-ProSeries-Prep-Serve-and-Store-Cart-with-Hood/280180646?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=101139296&adid=22222222228280180646_101139296_14069003552_202077872&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=m&wl3=42423897272&wl4=pla-295289030566&wl5=9018933&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=569379117&wl11=online&wl12=280180646_101139296&veh=sem&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADmfBIoM0K20AIyyc4a5v19rJE3K7&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIsJW80PLJhAMV8TbUAR11-QIKEAQYBCABEgJpWvD_BwE
The biggest thing I like about the 17” original Blackstone is the front grease system. I think I paid $89 for this several years back. What brand/model do you have and would you recommend it?
Just found your podcast! Started listening and really enjoying it so far. Just heard the episode on your "griddle theology" out of the book of Leviticus😂 Your set up looks really nice! What exactly is the Smash House? A google search doesn't yield me much. I am over here in CA, so if it is a local reference, it is unfortunately lost on me. Really enjoying the podcast, though and am looking forward to listening to more. Love the vibe, the laughter and the focus on griddling. Keep it up 🍻
Sorry for missing this comment! I’m having issues with my YT account and couldn’t see some of the comments made on my videos. Thanks for tuning in! Shout-out coming your way on our next episode! The smash house is a reference to the indoor bar I built in my garage.
