We are Ron and Jodi. We've been traveling and exploring around the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Join us as we go rambling around while living our “work hard, play hard” philosophy. We will try to show as much of our adventures, tips and reviews while we practice for retirement.
This channel will be about adventures big and small, weekend getaways traveling in the motorhome exploring our region to flying away on extended vacations discovering new destinations. We hope to inspire others to make time to travel, explore and discover what our land has to offer.
Climbing this steep learning curve, we are excited to learn how to shoot video, edit and upload for all to see. Not every video will be an award winner but all we need is someone to laugh and enjoy the ride along the way.

Ohh that beach and water look wonderful! There are so many cool sights on the island! Oh man, that would have scared me! I have to admit I felt uneasy about the sky ride in the Redwoods a couple of weeks ago, and skipped the mystery trees and did a 3 mile hike instead 😅 Fantastic look at the island 😊

Oh my... What a idyllic place to stay on vacation... Must be funny to lie down for a chill moment on the sand and have an iguana stealing your drink 😂Cause that was an iguana right? And they... climb trees? Ok... I've never seen that Wait... Here we go again with one of those best (suffering) moments where Jodi focus on the crackling, the noise and the movement of an evil cable car 🤣 I'm sorry I just enjoy these scenes (don't kill me) but you have to try those ski lifts on winter someday. Beautiful to see both of you again. Big Like as always 💙
Another great video, very high quality, great content, and just show how you guys like to have fun. I really enjoyed it. Miami is a great spot to start or end a cruise. Our only NCL cruise ended in Miami, and since we had scheduled a later flight home, we booked an NCL excursion to tour Miami “selfie” sightseeing sights including several that you highlighted. However, due to NCL incompetence in our disembarking the Norwegian Bliss, our excursion began more than 2 hours late cutting our tour short. When I wrote to NCL documenting this requesting acknowledgement and some adjustment, I did not even get an apology. I look forward to a future cruise when I can plan to stay a few days to explore Miami.
St. Thomas is beautiful and to make it more beautiful was the Megan Bay. The view of the Port is amazing. I kept wondering, Jodi, having height phobia inside the cable car, I was impressed though it looked like you were scared. A fun adventure, my friend. 😊😊
OMG you made that cable car sound so scary!!! The cabin seemed so tight. Was it particularly bad or was it just your first cable car lol x I love seeing cruise port videos they are so useful and helpful in deciding what if any excursion to do.
Love your pigtails! That water looks amazing! Sometimes you have to take a break from drinking! 😆😆 But not for too long! You are so brave getting on that skyride!!! TWICE! 😆 There is no way I could drive on the wrong side of the road! This is such a great trip!!
Ramblers are everywhere! keep going. We have a cruise booked in March. These videos are making me jealous! Such an awesome experience. Exploring creates a better experience.

Jodi, follow your idea of Airbnb! We do that, but we stay in St. John. Rent a jeep, take the ferry, and head to your location. Beaches are awesome there and a little more laid back. Get your groceries in St. Thomas (better variety and prices). Find an Airbnb with a blender, go to a dollar store or something similar, buy plastic containers and a cheapo ice chest (if your Airbnb doesn’t have them), make your own bushwhacker and painkillers, and head to one of their amazing beaches! Honeymoon Beach is fantastic! With your Jeep you can head back to St. Thomas and checkout Coki Beach for the day. One of my favorites! Get an Airbnb with a pool and definitely air conditioning! You’ll want to take advantage of that pool after a beach day! Ron…you can drive the roads! Just stay left!
So this looks fun !!! Dominican Republic on our to do list … And it looks awesome ..Taino bay looks geared up for cruise passengers .. Good tip on the walking tours ..Love the convertible cars..Pink street … lots of fun ..Good you guys love to explore on your own..The old fort looks great and the lazy river looks a must do. That guy on the Breakaway 😂😂… Inter ship silliness …Always makes the port stops better …. He was cool… Clever photography for the food shots at dinner …nice. Then party games and karaoke ….. 😂😂😂😂 looks a fun night. Enjoyed this guys and looking forward to the next instalment…And we loved St Thomas when went there …
Wow, Megans Bay is such a chill place and the beach is absolute perfection. I like the spot you picked to enjoy a swim and hang out. I can see why the Skyride was a shaky experience, too bad about that but what a gorgeous view from the top. 💕💕 The smoothie daquiri/Irish cream drinks look like the perfect way to unwind after. St. Thomas is definitely on my bucket list, especially after watching your vid. No time for the rum bar...he he. 🍹🍻🥤🚢🚡🌊👍👍👍
Jodi, you are really facing your fear of heights to even get on that Gondola ride. The water and beaches look amazing there. Nice to be able to try some different small batch beers.
Love the street art behind you at 5:13. Such a beautiful place, the castle, the hills all around, the peculiar fruits, all looks so nice and interesting! And it looks like there are a lot of fun opportunities on the ship itself, you two were having such a great time for sure! Thank you for sharing

this was smaller than your RV shower? wow :) It is interesting to see how thing are organised on ship cruises, thank you for sharing. Do you have a temptation to drink more coffee now that it is included? :D I have this problem with everything prepaid. I already paid so gotta make the most of it :D Like Ross from Friends haha
Friends was the best! Yes and Yes we drink a lot more coffee like a couple kids even at night and we drink more alcohol then we should as well but u have to it's paid for!! 😅😂 cruises are great! 😊thx for watching your comments are always fun to read!

Jodi Next time get a drink next time get a drink before you ride that team up. And paper straws should be banned! They are useless! When we were in Ireland we had to drive on the wrong side of the road and not only was the steering wheel on the wrong side but it was also a manual so the gear shift was in the left side too! Oh and the roads were extremely narrow - we were even side swiped! Never again! Great video!

Ok so we did put out a celebration video when we hit the one year mark and 1000 subscribers about a year ago and answered a few questions you may like but it was a year ago and a little cheesey but does answer some of your questions. We also just did a podcast released today u may really like it is very personal u can find the link on our Facebook. We did decide we will do another Q and A this year either end of year celebration or New Year celebration. We will start asking everyone to send questions through our Facebook, Instagram and email us so follow us and be ready to send in some of those questions probably post it around November or December. Oh Michelle I really thought I was going to be fine but I realized now that my last tram I was able to sit and hold on and this one had a few strange bumps along the way. I was embarrassed but I think the drinks helped on the way down. This was a nice port thanks for joining us and yes I would like to try a small boat over night that may be interesting. 😊 thx again for the support!

Yayyy st Thomas!!!! Last time I was there was when I was a teenager!! Totally unforgettable!! Yes!! That water is sooo clear!!! Definitely remember that tooo!!! Awww yayy! Snorkeling!!! And iguanas!! 🦎 a sky ride?? How fun!! lol the oh shit is so real 😂😂 Oh you guys are really enjoying the island life with those drinks ❤ what a wonderful dayyy!! I agree, so much easier to have the tour guide take you around, especially when only there for 1 day.

We anchored out Charlotte Amalie in '85 (CGN-38) and I made a bee-line to Magans Bay. Absolutely no one there but me and the bartender at the bamboo beach bar. I looked at him and said 'I'm going to die here'. Still alive and making travel plans!
